Ullapool Youth Hostel, located on Ullapool seafront, offers views over Loch Broom and the Beinn Dearg mountain range. Rooms in the hostel vary in size, including private rooms. There’s also a well-equipped self-catering kitchen, two small lounges, laundry and drying rooms. WiFi access is free. The youth hostel offers a range of facilities including a dining area with views over the harbor. Ullapool is a fishing village in the Highlands and a vibrant Highland community with regular music nights, festivals and arts events. Guests can enjoy its restaurants, bars, leisure center, swimming pool, museum and the Macphail Theater. Outdoor activities such as hillwalking, kayaking, climbing and cycling are available close by. Ferries leave daily for Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis while cruises visit the Summer Isles from April to October. The whole of the North West coast with its iconic mountain scenery, beaches, sea lochs and islands can be easily explored from this property.

Location and staff were great, and the bathrooms were spotless The noise from the other rooms was unbearable, beds were uncomfortable, and I can’t believe I paid double the money for a hostel than I paid for a hotel with breakfast

Great location on the sea front close to the centre, restaurants and shops. Friendly staff. Indoor secure storage for bikes. A tiny room with 2 single beds toe to toe, smaller than a prison cell, with 2 hooks on the back of the door. No other storage or other facilities in the room. Way overpriced.

Location, communal areas, staff 4 bed room a bit cramped for 4 adults with kit. Top bunk bed very uncomfortable, probably ok for a child but not for an adult. Was a bit like sleeping on padded cardboard

I was impressed with the facilities. The toilets and showers were very clean and the shower especially was excellent with powerful pressure and hot water. Much appreciated after a hard day on the hills! The beds were also clean and comfortable. Also a special shout out to Fi on reception who provided a really friendly welcome. There’s nothing I can think of that needs improving.
