Perfect room for a solo traveler + great location.

Great location. 5 min walk to paddington or Hyde park Rooms basic, lift is very small and stairs down to basement level rooms narrow. Beds weren’t comfortable

Breakfast was sufficient On arrival despite instructions could not locate my room. Requested assistance and concierge couldn't find either! He returned to has desk to obviously have to check a map. When I returned next day, same thing happened Different concierge but he also could not locate my room . He too returned to front desk to check a layout plan Not good if there was a fire in the building. Safety hazard Also when you left room the door was right on a step. I fell the first time exiting that room.

Prime location to transport and places of interest Room basic but clean and comfortable Toiletries supplied Excellent breakfast Room hot with small fan. Noisy with window open but kept room cooler.

There are several drawbacks. The main issue is the poor sound insulation. You can hear footsteps from the room above very clearly, even when someone is simply walking back and forth. If you’re a light sleeper, this can be disturbing. Another downside is the room options. You can either choose a room at the back of the hotel, which is much quieter but has a very poor view, or a room facing the street, which has a much nicer view but is exposed to traffic and street noise. As for the staff, they were neither particularly friendly nor unfriendly. They were polite but fairly neutral, and I didn’t feel especially welcomed during my stay.

Very near Paddington Station. Easy access to beautiful Hyde Park. Decent breakfast. Pretty thin walls. Noise from the street and had to unplug the mini fridge.

The location was brilliant - it's a five-minute walk to Paddington station through busy streets - important if you're alone. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful, and my single room was clean, with a fan for hot days and nights (the temperature was in the 30s) and I appreciated the tea and coffee in my room. Continental breakfast was good. I was also able to leave my luggage in the store for a few hours on departure day. The hotel needs a revamp. There was a crack in the glass in my window and the bathroom felt very tired. I didn't sleep well the first night - the snorer in the next room kept me awake. Cooked English breakfast was just okay. I didn't have it on day two.

Great location, good water pressure, clean enough. Bed was very uncomfortable with big dips so you had to hold yourself to one side, not to roll. Room seemed much smaller than photos suggest.

Location Uncomfortable bed. Very small room for money. We have stayed here before and everything was good then but not this time. TV did not work for first three days. Room was always cold. Heat was turned off early each morning. Not turned back on till evening. Forget it if you came back in middle of day. Three different days had to go ask for it to be turned on in evening. Still did not keep room warm. Would not stay here again.

Lovely staff, so helpful with having my car parked right outside. Very clean, cosy, lovely staff, walking distance to tubes etc

Staff were all very helpful. At least one staff at front desk 24 hours. Door buzzer for later returns. This hotel has been remodeled from 2 houses. The renovation was done very well with several staircases from top floor to bottom. ELEVATOR is a bonus, though it's casual and cosy with 3. BREAKFAST selection is filling. The women running the downstairs breakfast room are efficient and cheerful. When we said first room was too tight, front desk switched us right away. Rooms are cleaned daily. London is expensive, so why not have peace where you're staying ? The staff works hard to provide convenience.

Unbeatable location and excellent customer service from most members of the staff. Clean cozy rooms and a nice and fresh English breakfast every motioning. Definitely will come back. The bathtub drain stopper got stuck and it was a bit difficult to release it. Didn't want to bother the staff but I'm sure they would've helped us out.

It’s an historic property in the city center. Lots of stores and places to eat. Easy to get to the dock for the cruise ship. Short taxi ride from the train station. There is parking for cars. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. There is a hot pot and packages to make tea and coffee. There is a microwave in the kitchen in case you want to heat food. Homey. It’s old fashioned and comfortable rather than deluxe. The price is very good.

The location was perfect. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and freshly painted room. The are no sockets near the bed, but it was solved with an extension cord.

Building is beautiful, location is amazing and the staff were super kind and helpful. The room was extremely small and there was no soundproofing, so we heard conversations and footsteps from other rooms at all hours.
-
Too small, tv not working, cabinet is old, linens are old, cheap toiletries, small bath towel.
