Location, decor, staffing ( very friendly and helpful) price (excellent value) We were unable to operate the TV, but this wasn’t a big problem as there was so much to see and do in Glasgow.

There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. There was a screen but not TV channels. When I asked the personnel what is the screen for, he said that I can "cast anything from my phone to the screen". Upon my check in, they told me that the breakfast starts at 7am. I went to the restaurant 5 minutes after 7 and a guy told me that actually the breakfast starts at 7.30am. I do not know who was right and who was wrong, but when I went again at 7.35am the food was still pending.

The location was very central and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars etc. The refurb has been done in a way to retain old features like the lift shaft and staircase. Having to scan a QR code to access the TV. It didn’t work with an android phone but when staff became aware of this they said they will contact the TV company to understand how the issue can be resolved.

Good location with car park across the street. 1) Booking.com advertised this property as “recently refurbished”, which is past tense implying the work has been completed. This is wrong as the refurbishment work is still underway and the birdcage lift had only started operating the previous day!!! We were on the third floor this would have been a major issue, as I’m in my 70’s and awaiting a knee replacement!!! 2) In the first room we had there were no coat hangers or rail to hang them on. 3) The staff were vacuuming wood shaving off the carpet when we arrived at the room! 4) Condensation poured out of the air conditioner during the night, leaving the back of the couch soaked and pools of water on the floor. 5) Fresh foods (yogurt and smoked salmon) at breakfast were sitting out in the open, i.e. not chilled in any way.

Decor was nice The amount of noise. Both from outside as the double glazing was poor. And inside with constant banging doors. The restaurant was pretentious also.

nearly renovated, minimalist and clean hotel. right across from Qparking which is very handy. the restaurant downstairs celentanos is amazing for dinner. felt quite basic for the price. walls & windows are very thin so quite noisy. our room was right next to the corridor door which was very harsh closing and loud waking us up both mornings.
