Location was excellent. 24hr reception was very useful. Met some interesting people. The room was very very hot. The shower was too powerful for the fitting and the drain was very slow. The mattress was very thin.

The staff are great, and the breakfast is also good value. We were in one of the rooms at the top, just below the roof - it was extremely hot in July... The lower floors seemed to be less heated. I usually state a quiet room as a preference. It was at the top, so it was quiet in the evening; however, in the morning, some kids (and possibly adults) were running around and slamming the doors from 6:30 am. You need your best earplugs and calm nerves for that because the top floor also carries a lot of vibration.

Love the self catering kitchen. They have most things you need. A little too hot in the summer. Staff are very helpful. The lift was broken. Not accessible from ground floor or first floor. You had to go to the basement to access the lift.

Located right at the quayside, the hostel is in the middle of town. The dorms have four beds, there is a large guest kitchen. In the basement and cellar, there are lounges, although only in the basement there is wifi reception. Some beds have neither power outlets nor USB chargers; there is no space for your luggage in the tiny rooms, since the space underneath the beds is taken up by obnoxious and impractical wire cages for your valuables. So the floor between the beds gets covered by luggage. There are not even hooks to hang your jackets.

Location Light sensors in the bathroom going out mid shower. Shower floor loose and water not draining as a result.

As a hostel it was cleaner than many hotels I stayed in before. Safe and comfy.Lots of board games for different age groups(inc children) in the lounge area. Helpful and friendly staff. Great location. Highly recommended. (Did not try the food)

The location is great - it's right by the harbour, which made for a really nice experience. I was assigned a room on the 5th (top) floor, which clearly looks like a poorly integrated extension to the building. My stay coincided with a heatwave, and the room was absolutely suffocating. There was a fan provided, but it did virtually nothing to cool the space down - it just moved hot air around. For the price I paid, I expected much more humane living conditions, especially considering that the property prides itself on being eco-friendly. It’s particularly frustrating because the lower floors actually look quite decent, while the top floor feels completely neglected. The shower facilities were also highly questionable. They had no ventilation whatsoever, making it intensely stuffy and far too easy to overheat while just trying to wash up. Overall, a very disappointing experience and poor value for money.

Location and friendly staff. Room was too hot, we couldn't sleep well. We had one fan between the 2 beds, window wouldn't open more than a crack and shower was only hot water. It wasn't nice. Also, for the price we pay for a twin room towels should be included.
