Radisson Blu Hotel Bristol

The room was poorly lit The fact I had to pay twice for the accommodation, still waiting for Booking.com's response to this. Rude staff, no parking.

Location and it was quiet Now majestic and never informed Staff at check in were helpful but not trained Bar closes early for some reason Breakfast was well over priced Room rate really far to high

The location was excellent. The lady on reception was exceptionally helpful. The rooms were large and spacious with lovely facilities. The hotel had been taken over. When we rang to check about parking we were told that all Booking.com bookings would need to be paid for again and then a refund claimed from booking.com. We questioned this and a manager said it was fine, so assuming they're processing it their end. This would have been an awkward realisation on arrival!

View was good, location was good, and it wasn't busy. New ownership felt like they were waiting for any remaining booked rooms to be honoured before they'd gut the place, so it felt a bit like an abandoned hotel - I saw one other couple and receptionists were apologising on the phone about not being able to take payments via booking.com or something - all felt a bit off. I booked a year prior and it had changed hands in the meantime. The staff were friendly to me and nothing went wrong, but the room was a bit basic, and definitely not the typical standard expected from a Blu.

Close to everything we wanted The fact that when we got there the hotel told us that they don’t use booking. Com anymore and we had to pay again, so waiting for a refund from booking,com

Good location friendly staff. The name of the hotel has changed so I had trouble finding the hotel. Some people who had booked on booking. Com had trouble booking in as under new management. Bar wasn't open.

Location Staff looked scruffy. Reception area poor. Worst city hotel ai have ever been to

Great location. Looking a bit tired, need to step up on the cleaning side of things. Very short on choice of drinks in bar.

Location for harbourside gig Struggled to find hotel due to change of name and lack of comms about this . added 2 hours trying to find the hotel! Also room key not activated properly after a long journey didn’t help either.

The room The staff, they were very rude and lacked empathy and sympathy towards the issue I experienced as the hotel had changed names between my booking and payment back in Oct 25 and my check in day June 26. The hotel wanted me to pay for the room again. Which I refused, a 2hr discussion with booking.com eventually ended with them talking directly to the hotel to sort the issue out. As a customer my thoughts and circumstance were disregarded and negated by the hotel staff when none of the issues where my fault and were between the hotel and booking.com.

The staff were excellent - friendly and helpful We wanted a light supper but there was little on the menu / salad, baked potato etc. We ended up with a toastie - white slice bread, barely coloured with unmelted cheese. Breakfast was average. Exceptionally bad lighting. A very low wattage, standard lamp to light the whole room. Reading lights on stalks on either side of the bed, were again, low attage and their light did not reach a book in the bed. We couldn't see our clothes within our suitcases and had to grope for our nightclothes. Very poor design. We would not stay here again
