Great location and amazing staff Some undesirable people hanging out there

We both liked the location because it was central downtown and everything we wanted to do was within walking distance and mostly within 10-15 minutes. What didn't we like? OMG, so much to report. Paid for a room with two queen beds but there was only one in the room. The carpet is thin and hard and sticky. There's something going on at this hotel we couldn't quite put our finger on: quite a few scrungy-looking residents hanging around the entrance, who come and go and yell up at their friends/enemies at all hours night and day. Parking options are by the hour, so that might have been a clue. Housekeeping is hit or miss: the bed was made and the garbages emptied each day but the used paper coffee cups got taken and not replaced. Had to ask for two hangers for our coats. My wife cleaned some sort of dried-up God Knows What off the bathroom counter on our third day (it wasn't from us) so who knows how long that was there. We opened the fridge to put two bottles of water inside, and some frozen-solid open package of cheese fell out on the floor. We didn't even touch the microwave out of concern for how long ago it may have been cleaned. The 'restaurant' on the main floor is a dark, disorganized ex-coffee shop where lots of opened and empty cardboard boxes seem to be stored in the kitchen area. We didn't go in during our stay but the front desk guy gave us our two coat hangers off the coat rack in there.

Great service by the front desk - First Rate All good !!

It’s a very poor environment! Drugs addicts all around! I had to cancelled my bookings! Which want my money back!
-
Nothing The surroundings, the rooms, toilets, bedsheets blankets and everything
-
People in the bar adjacent to it. Are shady and r a pain in the butt to say the least.

Night staff awful

Nothing. There was nothing I liked here. My room did not have an inside lock on the door. I pushed a small piece of furniture in front of the door for safety. The cleaning standard was well below mine. I wiped surfaces when I arrived, including something dubious stuck on the bedside table. The thin blanket did not look like it had been cleaned in forever. Overall an icky substandard room that was not worth the $124 I paid for the night.

The staff were friendly, and offered good advice like "don't leave anything in the car" The fact that there were cigarette burns on the bedsheets, a bag of unidentified substance in one of the dresser drawers, no curtain on one outdoor window. I get that it's a fairly sketchy part of the city, so I'm not really bothered by that fact. There was no lock on the door, and despite having a space heater, the room felt rather cold. Not really sure if the phone was hooked up as I hadn't tried dialing anyone, however, there was no dial tone when I picked up the receiver. No internet password was provided, although mind you, it was never asked of.

no breakfast It is miserable shithole. I felt i got robbed by wasting my $125 there. i never slept. place deplorable. I wouldn't even allow my dog to sleep in their rooms for free. That is not a hotel
-
Nothing. Arrived at the property. The reception was shabby. I asked to view the room before committing to stay. The room was smelly, worn-out , mismatched furniture. Not somewhere you want to spend the night. I left and found another hotel.
