Casa Colonial Vintage Hotel

Great location

Very good position. Frendly staff. Furniture is very minimalistic but functional. Very nice garden with pool, but we didn't really use it much. Our room was at ground floor, right by the pool, and the main door is made of wood. This has two large problems: 1. No soundproofing AT ALL. Voices from the pool area, loud music from the street (yes, by the way the front door of the hotel is open 24/7), steps of people walking, etc... all sound like inside the room. 2. The room gets a lot of humidity from the pool. There is an AC unit if you suffer during the night but everytime you enter the room it smells from the humidity. Also the mattress was a bit too hard for us.

Central location, friendly reception of Magdalena, cleanliness and high attention of room housekeeping, open air atmosphere of hotel. Because of open air style of hotel, people's voices hanging out in pool and patio seats were echoing loudly into our room. Also there was a big gap of room door on the bottom so not sure if insects were more able to come in.

The location is a 3 minute walk from the ADO bus station. We arrived and left Tulum via ADO bus so it was great to be able to stay close. The local collective taxi has a major stop right by the hotel. It was super convenient to hop on a collective taxi to where we wanted to go. The AC worked great. The room is good size. We got a room on the 3rd floor and it was quiet. The price was very good. We definitely get great value for what we paid for. We were told our room is on 2F. Didn't know they don't count the main floor. So we dragged our suitcases upstairs and found out in surprise that we actually were assigned to the 3rd floor in the US standard. :)

The location is very close to the bus terminal. 24 hour front desk is a wonderful addition. The staff is also helpful and friendly. There is a common area by the swimming pool for seating. There is a water dispenser and microwave oven too. The room is spacious. Love the strong AC and daily housekeeping. For the price we paid, definitely of great value! We got room #20X. it was in fact on the third floor and we had to carry our suitcases upstairs. The walkway has uneven heights, making rolling the suitcase a bit more challenging.

Convenient location next to ADO terminal and the main street of Tulum Nothing - great value for price

location, comfortable bed, super clean (cleaning every day - clean towels daily and replenishing toilete paper daily), coffee anytime at the lobby fridge was missing a lot (but we knew when booking that there will be no fridge) wifi was weak very often

I loved the location, my room was on the first floor near the pool. The best room. The team was superb, friendly and efficient.

Perfect location, clean and comfortable room with hot water. The only issue I had was that doors were vintage - a bit old and leaky - so the light in the night attracted a few mosquitos. Altough great value for the price we paid.

Great location. Minutes from the ADO station and near the main restaurants but not so close that you get the noise of the bars. Pool is nice. Shower was hot and the space was clean. Nice large bed, firm. Pillows a bit lumpy. The pool means there’s an echo chamber of noise. People coming and going early means you get people talking near the pool. Good for one night but not relaxing for a good sleep if you’re looking for a longer stay.

Only stayed for a night when travelling through but great location and clean enough

Pet friendly and very reasonably priced A bit bright in the room with the outside lights shining in, even with blackout curtains. Also parking was a bit of a hassle, we weren't sure where to go that was secure.
