Hotel Lella

The location was excellent, and the staff was outstanding. The clerk at the front desk went above and beyond in pointing us in the right direction, offering us advice, and helping us when we needed it. It made all the difference. The in room air conditioning was also a lifesaver. The water pressure in the makeshift shower (a hose attached to a bathtub faucet) was weak and leaky, which made showering a challenge. It was lovely having a private bathroom, though it was a tight squeeze to maneuver between the sink and toilet.

This is a very old hotel, so just dont get your expectations too high, there are some scuff marks on the walls and floors, but I stayed for 3 nights, and never had an issue after the first room being changed.

Nothing. The accommodation was, to put it mildly, terrible. The bed was unstable and half-broken, the air conditioning didn’t work and it was extremely cold. The hair dryer was old and barely worked. The guy at the reception was extremely rude and didn’t resolve a single problem we had. The entrance door keys were old and malfunctioning — we almost ended up locked out on the street — and when we rang the bell, he was unpleasant and unfriendly. “Terrible” is a mild word for this accommodation and the level of unprofessionalism. If there were a rating of −1, that’s what I would give them.

The staff were very helpful and kind

the shower pressure was good but uneven. no glass screen/window on window. could hear every outside sound & couldn't block it out by shutting it. Plugs were the odd one and my charger didnt fit but front desk loaned one to me.

The young man at the front desk was lovely and very helpful! Staff was excellent. The hotel room was functional and convenient location. Fine for a one night stay.

Unfortunately the room 305 has seen better days. The lamps on the walls had some long time stains on them, and the mirror in the room had several holes. The AC was making a sound, but not sure it actually got any cooler during the night. The bed was pretty hard. The bathroom was better, clean. There was a liquid soap bottle, but the little pump wasn't working. The bathtub had no curtain, so I took a shower and water splashed all over, even when I tried to be careful. There were 2 opened shampoo bottles by the bath, which could be used. I booked two nights, but I decided to leave the moment I woke up, didn't care about any refund.

The staff is awesome. The bathtub didn't have a stopper and tge shower head didn't have a shower head holder. Besides that, good times.

Good location, clean, adequate room. average room, no frills, a bit small.

The receptionist from.Hungary absolutely made my stay. She went out of her way to be welcoming and helpful. A truly kind, informative and lovely person and great asset to the hotel. Good spacious room. I lied everything.

Location near metro and buses. Reasonable price. Very helpful and friendly staff - shout out to Will and especially Violetta. I think that's her name.. Super friendly Hungarian gallery. She put a lot of work into getting me a working air con and TV remote. The view onto the park was great. The nearby minimart was a godsend. The 1940s style of lift was straight out of The Third Man! Bathroom was renovated and good. Not having a remote made me forget I even had aircon. Fortunately I didn't need to Chill but heat to dry clothes was nice when Violetta fixed the remote. . Walls were scuffed and a tad grotty. Only 2 coat hangers? Violetta sorted that. But for the cost, in Rome, I thought it was good value for money.

Hotel Lella is bare-bones, good for budget travellers who are used to roughing it at hostels and can do without a lot of amenities. Very good location for those arriving in Rome for the first time because it's just a 10 minute walk from Termini train station. The staff are very helpful and kind - molto simpatico. Refrigerator in the room didn't work.
