CIVILIAN Hotel

Great location. Particularly small room. Fine for two people away on a weekend but still small. Hotel has a cool vibe.

Staff was very helpful and accommodating. The hotel itself was very nice and unique.

Room was nice pretty small but makes sense for nyc. The only thing that was annoying was the shower had for curtain or anything so water got everywhere and flooded bathroom easily. Other than that it was a great stay!

Very unique, artsy hotel focused on Broadway legends and hits within the decor. We loved our stay and would absolutely return. My only asked would be for larger bath towels. They were quite small for my muscular husband, lol. But that is a very personal critique. Our stay was exceptional.

We loved the location in lively Hell’s kitchen because of the youthful and beautiful crowd. You truly feel the unique NY vibe. Times Square is not far. Bar and restaurants abound. The hotel had a restaurant and a rooftop bar. We spent sometime in the rooftop but then went on to explore the neighborhood. The hotel is clean and has a great vibe. We wished we spent more time in it. The room was small but clean and quiet. We were at a top floor and enjoyed a great view of New York. We liked everything

The hotel is in a wonderful spot, easy walk to the pier and close to local restaurants. As a solo traveller, it was a safe location to stay.

The room was very clean, and really pretty. It is really well laid out and the under the bed storage was amazing.

Clean and friendly Common area to hang out

The breakfast was nice and the room Is lovely. Glad there was coffee available at 7 because I prefer coffee in my room but it worked out ok. Nice lounge at night as well. Room had what I needed. The blackout curtains didn’t completely cover the window so defeating the purpose of having them. It was a nice room though with a big bathroom. The room would have been too small for 2 people but it was fine for me alone.

The only down sides are that it is very small. I solo traveled and even with it being just me for a couple of days, it was a bit of a hassle to get ready. If you do your makeup and have hot tools it will be hard to keep everything neat. Also there is no closet so I was having to hang things on hangers any where I could in the room. The bathroom has no shower door or curtain so the floor kept getting wet, I put a towel down so I would not slip. It can get a bit noisy since there is a fire station nearby, but they provide ear plugs which helped. Also no fridge or microwave so make sure to not take back perishable left overs. If you don't mind a cozy little spot and are solo traveling, I 100% recommend this hotel.
