The front desk person in duty during my hotel check-in was "asleep at the wheel". In addition, she insisted on doing all the talking about check-in procedures and insisting my room was paid-for already when I knew that was blatantly untrue. The parking valet person was new to his position, and hadn't yet gained sufficient experience to understand his role and the requirements of his duties, which meant he had no idea how to flag my hotel bill to eliminate charges for hotel valet parking since my reservation specifically contained "free valet parking" for the duration of stay. The housekeeping staff was fair and the room service breakfast from the restaurant downstairs in the hotel was barely tolerable. I must add that there was one front desk person on duty on days two and three of our stay who was professional, proficient and personable. If only that person would have been available to compile my hotel billing since he could not have done any worst than the people supposedly trained and staffed to accomplish this task. Sent by uncaring staff, I was a bouncing ball between Expedia and Marriott with both claiming to have no ability or authority to finalize and correct my bill, My final hotel billing was replete with errors, and valet parking over-charges. It required four days for my charges to be deducted from the appropriate card and only after contacting Marriott's President and the company's customer service department. We'll not choose to stay at a Marriott hotel again.

When I checked in, we were not greeted right away while standing at the front desk to check in. When they finally acknowledged us; I was not told about the perks of being a member. I also didn't receive everything that other members in my teir received. Our room stayed warm, even with the air on 60 and there was no circulation in the bathroom at all. We were there for our class reunion and multiple people includimg myself seen bugs.

Felt safe in hotel. Polite staff. Room needs upgrades. Body wash falling off of wall. Walls around shower had water damage. Booking included free parking. At check in they stated we had 50% off because we are a member. Had to show reservation con to get it corrected. Shower didn’t drain well. Complimentary drinks were to be served at 5. Waited till 5:20 and no drinks. Ate at restaurant during happy hour. Was told my order didn’t come with something listed because it was happy hour even though it was listed. Had to tell waitress and she stated the new manager said it wasn’t included. After I showed her the menu she took it to the kitchen and brought the item. Food was tasty. Definitely get the truffle fries. Wasn’t disappointed but wasn’t impressed with the overall hotel experience. $300+ for one night, I expected more.

Again, wonderful staff, but I really wish I stayed somewhere else. In all fairness, this seems to be the case with most of the hotels in this area. I blame Bourbon Street. Trying the Garden District next time.

The staff was fantastic, everyone was welcoming. The highlight of our stay was Miss Yvette at check in. Every recommendation and suggestion given was on point. I highly recommend this hotel was like a home away from home.
