Hotel El Mirador Puerta del Sol

Just steps away from Puerta del Sol and the Metro. It's on a busy noisy street but I was on floor 4 and couldn't hear any of it. It was nice, clean. The front desk staff helpful and friendly. It was the most expensive place I stayed in almost 2 weeks but it was worth it.

El comedor que está habilitado solo ofrece bebestibles, pero no hay cubiertos, ni platos ni vasos, ni servilletas disponibles para servirse la comida que uno trae. Me hubiera gustado contar con al menos eso, para no haber tenido que comprar envases desechables.

The location was excellent. It had an elevator. It was quiet. Staff was pleasant. It was older and could replace beds with newer more comfortable ones.

Excellent location that can't be beat. Has elevator. Great sized room with 2 twin beds. AC was good. Friendly staff. 2 star hotel in 5 star location. We got a room facing the inside wall so very quiet for sleeping. But they do have rooms facing the street. Mini fridge kept cool. Good size bathroom and closet. Only minor down side is if you need to get Uber or Taxi, you need to walk over to Plaza del Carmen about 3 minutes up the hill since cars can't really pick up in front of hotel. Great for young people but might be challenging for older folks or young families. We just wandered around the street and seemed to run into every shop or restaurant we were untested in. Very walkable area.

I picked this hotel for the price and the central location - it is located on the Puerta del Sol plaza, a very popular large plaza. We could walk to everything, and the nightlife was very lively. The room was good and the bathroom was a good size. We walked nearby to Chocolatería San Ginés for churros and chocolate for breakfast - delicious! The noise at night was too much for us - I think it would be fine if you were used to sleeping in a city. On Friday night, the noise from Puerta del Sol went on until 3 AM, then the morning cleanup noises began around 5 AM. Saturday night was a little less noisy because it was raining out. Ear plugs helped, but I am not used to sleeping with them. So, the central location was not good for sleeping.

GREAT CENTERAL LOCATION, ROOM WAS CLEAN, HOTEL QUIET, WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE TO LOTS OF RESTURANTS, SHOPS,AND ENTERTAINMENTS.

Great front desk people. Bed not comfortable, with two people it was like a canoe. The mold was powerful in the bathroom. Even several hours of airing the place out didn’t overcome the mold.

All good, perfect if you need somewhere central. Very convenient for the Metro from the airport, and to get to everything central.

Spotless hotel steps from center of Puerta de Sol. Spacious two bed room with refrigerator. Modern bathroom Absolutely nothing!

loved the big sink, comfy twin beds, very little noise considering the location, and great location for places of interest, food, groceries and pharmacy everything was great!

Room excellent, especially the bathroom, which was very well equipped. Also highlight the housekeeping staff who were very helpful. Honesty of check-in lady about noise from the street in the front rooms, so gave us a back room. Not so much didn't like as noticed the stairs etc were rather shabby but you don't live on the stairs
