Our AC was not functioning properly, we had to move on the last night, the restaurant is not good

The staff were genuinely great, friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. The facility itself is visually spectacular, and that’s likely the main reason it’s marketed as a four‑star hotel. However, based on the overall experience, I would realistically classify it closer to a three‑star standard. This is not a four‑star hotel — more realistically a three‑star experience. • Room / Air Conditioning Our “deluxe” two‑floor room was essentially a sauna. The bed was on the upper floor and the AC unit on the lower floor. Basic physics: hot air rises, cold air stays low. So placing the AC downstairs makes absolutely no difference for the temperature upstairs. The nights were genuinely awful, even with the AC running at maximum power all day. Do NOT book a two‑floor deluxe room in summer — you will regret it. • Pool Towels Upon arrival, there were no pool towels available. The next morning, even though we came right when the pool area opened, towels were still in the laundry. We had to return later just to get some. • Breakfast As is common in Italy, breakfast is heavily focused on sugary pastries. Finding healthy food is a challenge but here it was exceptionally difficult. They didn’t even offer cut fresh fruit (melons, etc.). Instead, there was only a bowl of whole bananas, oranges, apples, etc., leaving guests to prepare everything themselves. • Smoking at Breakfast Allowing guests to smoke cigarettes at the breakfast tables, even outdoors is simply unacceptable today. Breakfast should be a pleasant start to the day, not something you endure while inhaling second‑hand smoke. It completely ruins the experience.

The area

The bathroom sink had a leak and the floor got wet. The grounds were a bit unkempt. The neighborhood was a bit rough, but we felt safe behind the villa gates.

Beautiful property. Beautiful rooms and friendly staff. You can get to pompei or Naples by train. You are also 2 minutes away from Ercolano ruins. Highly recommend the suite! Breath taking ! If you need a good restaurant nearby I recommend the golden mile

This place is a beautiful dream that you won't want to wake up from. Beautiful and historic structure with a perfect garden, incredibly kind and helpful multilingual staff, and excellent food. Very convenient to Reggia Portici, the port, and Ercolano Scavi. Really, everything was perfect. I am excited to return.

Best place to stay in Ercolano Historical

The extremely friendly, helpful, and young staff made all the difference! Thumbs up. Gorgeous villa with beautiful garden filled with scent of lemon flowers. Fantastic terrace with full view of the Golfo.

Nice grounds. Close to Herculaneum. Good breakfast. Nice service at dinner. Very helpful checkin staff. Toasty warm bathroom with heated floors and towel warmer. Quiet room. The first standard room we were given, was on the top floor. It seemed like the attic had been renovated to make rooms but there was no window! I am not generally claustrophobic, but a room without a window is a no-go. Seems odd to me that that is considered 'standard'! However, when I went back to the front desk, they offered another room, on the other side of the property with a walk out to a small patio. This was much better. The bed was awful. The corners pointed up while the rest of the bed (sides and middle) sagged. Dining rooms seemed under a state of renovation.

Beautiful view and quiet area. Big, green park around the building. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice neighborhood, restaurants and natural attractions are nearby. There was an issue with hot water supply but finally the staff managed to solve the problem.
