The bed was comfortable However my husband woke up with 3 spider bites on him. There is only one mirror, the shower head needs replacing as only half the holes let water through. No ventilation fan in bathroom, air conditioner rattles, and for being on the 7 th floor, it was loud. Other guests were very rude, knocking on every other door as they ran down the hallway, loudly yelling, just inconsiderate. Breakfast was nothing to stop for. Sorry, won’t stay again.

The room was very clean and had plenty of room. Very nice and comfortable The only thing I didn't like was the size of the pool. It doesn't take long to fill up with guest

So while the checking experience was great. Jasmine was very helpful checking me in due to a late flight that was not scheduled to arrive before 4am and the front desk attendant upon arrival was the great. The next morning day staff was not great. I was told by both the people the night before that it was confirmed for a late checkout at 12pm. We had a graduation at uc in early morning that we to attend. Upon getting back to our room housekeeping was in the room and stated they were doing a service to our room as they had us down for a stay over. We informed her that we would be checking out that day late st 12pm. She immediately apologized and said that she would come.back after that. A short time later the front desk called and stated that check out time was at 11 and that we were late. I then informed them that both people I spoke to last night confirmed a 12pm checkout. They said that was not correct that they were overbooked and could not accommodate. I further stated that I should not be promised something by their staff initially if it was not true. She said she would speak to her manager. As I was getting off the phone, a housekeeping supervisor came by knocking on the door stating that it was past 11am and that it was past check out time and was really rude about it. As I was checking out, I informed the staff about my disappointment in the lack of communication. However they also did not seem to care about my experience and said they would work on that in a tone.

Room not ready on arrival. Stood and watched as over a dozen other customers checked in to their rooms. Entry through the double sets of doors was by welcome desk buzz-in only, unless you already had your room key. You deduce what that implies about the neighborhood. Room-wise, TV wouldn't turn on. Blackout shades were out of their tracks and we fixed them (for free). Otherwise, room was clean and comfortable, although shower had no body wash or shampoo. Breakfast was ok.

The room was spacious and modern. I paid $356.71 for a room with a non-functioning toilet during my stay at MainStay Suites Cincinnati University - Uptown on Saturday, August 1, 2026. My son and I were in town for a Reds game. At check-in, I was very pleased with the accommodations. However, when we returned to the hotel that evening around 10 pm, my son used the toilet and it would not flush. I contacted the front desk immediately. The employee on duty responded promptly and brought a plunger to our room, but was unable to resolve the issue. The problem was not resolved. Because the hotel was fully booked, no alternative room was available. Our room was on the 6th floor. We were offered the use of a bathroom in a room under construction on the second floor or the public restroom in the lobby. A construction-zone bathroom and a lobby restroom are not reasonable substitutes for a private, functioning bathroom in a paid guest room, particularly overnight. I also have a prostate condition that requires me to urinate several times during the night, making repeated trips outside the room a significant burden. In addition, neither my son nor I was comfortable remaining in a room where the toilet contained unflushed waste for the rest of our stay. I recognize that mechanical problems happen, and I appreciate the front desk employee's prompt effort to help. That said, the lack of a working restroom in our room was totally unacceptable.

The pool wasn't heated, and the water was a bit murky. When we got up in the morning, we used the stairs to go down to the lobby and there was a huge puddle of water in front of the door, but there wasn't a clear reason it was there.

The room was cozy, the location was great for the time we spent in Cincinnati and the availability of the pool was perfect! The pool wasn't heated, and the water was a bit murky. When we got up in the morning, we used the stairs to go down to the lobby and there was a huge puddle of water in front of the door, but there wasn't a clear reason it was there.
