Horizon Hotel

Everything! The view the location and the host was accommodating and genuinely pleasant. I did have issues with wifi in the room. It wasn't a train smash. I could pick it up, it was just not strong enough. Irene did offer to change rooms the following day, but I was on a vacation, sometimes technology need to take a backseat, and I also didn't want to change to a different room, when I had the best view and a stunning room with a balcony. I can't think of anything!

Bed was incredibly comfortable. Ideal location with only a short walk to the town. View from our room was spectacular! Host was really lovely and very helpful - we will definitely be returning. WiFi slightly patchy - but other than that, we loved our stay.

It had all of the items I needed for my stay including a washer & a drying rack outside. The owner Irene kindly picked me up at the port (my ferry arrived late) & dropped me back off on my departure day. It is walking distance to Chora. It was a most peaceful place to stay!

Bed sheets a bit small.

The service given by Irene and her staff was impeccable and yet down to earth and very personable. They went beyond expectations.

Free port pick-up. Amazing ocean view w/ spacious balcony. Comfortable mattress. Newly renovated bathroom, function well, bathroom remained dry after shower. Relatively close to Chora, meanwhile not much traffic or restaurant/bar nosie pass through. Good WiFi connection. Not so good sound insulation between rooms. You can hear/feel the activities of adjacent rooms.

Comfortable, spacious room with a stellar view! So peaceful to spend mornings and evenings on the patio. Friendly, helpful staff who offered port pickup and dropoff. The office had lots of helpful information about boat and bus schedules. Nothing

Cute room on second floor with spectacular view of Chora and the church. 2 double beds, nice bathroom, fridge and dishware with perfect balcony which you can chill and hang clothing on a rack if needed. Irini the hostess was very nice and helped us on where to go around the island. She kept our bags there after check out while we walked around Chora and picked us up as well. She's a great lady and hostess. I would book again.

Short walk into town, large spacious room, great balcony. The hotel manager/host (Irene) was wonderful. She went above and beyond throughout our stay. Thanks to Irene, I cannot recommend horizon hotel enough. N/A

We were celebrating a joint 60th and were Island hoping. We asked the host for a nice non overlooked room and she provided (room 6) . The view of Chora town and the church high on the hill was very picturesque. The room had a small front balcony and a larger side terrace. We chose breakfast one day, which was additional but very good value for money. Irene goes out of her way to help you and speaks very good English . Her father also owns and runs a hotel in the town and met us from the ferry to bring us to the ideally positioned Horizon hotel. It's a short 5 minute walk into Chora, an attractive maze of small alley ways offering shops , squares and restaurants. Thankyou Irene for a lovely stay and taking us back to the Port to catch our ferry. Nothing - maybe kitchenette facilities but we knew this before we stayed.

Perfect location 5 minute walk to Chora Good size room with large comfortable bed and nice outdoor seating area Met at port and taken to accommodation and then free transfer to catch ferry again Would stay again if in Folengandros A shower curtain would have prevented floor getting so wet in bathroom

New facilities, nice staff, well located close to the town (well, as close as you’d really want to be) No shower curtain??? Poor WiFi, and rooms (at least the one we were given) like an echo chamber for the loud neighbor next door meant we couldn’t even sit on the balcony; place lacked character overall

Wifi was a bit temperamental

We loved the view over Chora. We loved the personal, helpful service from the hotel owner.

We were greeted at the port by Irene and returned to the ferry at the end of our stay by her father which was a lovely touch. Lovely people who provided brilliant service, we only stayed for two nights and the room was cleaned on our second day The aircon worked really well and there was water in the fridge with tea and coffee available The view from our terrace was absolutely stunning, the hotel is only a very short walk to the village but away from the hustle and bustle so you can enjoy the peace and quiet

Clean room with a spectacular view, friendly staff and a great location

The location is very good, very close to the center of the island. The view is really beautiful. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly.
