This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of amorgos. Love the place as well as the proximity to restaurants and shops in a beautiful area

Internet didn't work throughout my 1 week stay which was unfortunate. They compensated by doing a round of laundry for me. Had a bit of an issue when I was leaving - they were late to bring me to the port and didn't inform me they'd be late (nor that the reception would be closed) which caused a lot of stress as my luggage was inside. Nobody answered my calls when I called 4 times. Communication could be better.

Well located, clean and nicely decorated. Very friendly staff. They offered a complimentary transfer to and from the main port which made the journey super convenient. Thank you!

Location is perfect

We stayed for four nights in early May. First of all, Folegandros is an amazing little island. It was the beginning of the season so some places were not open yet, but neither were there tons of tourists so it was peaceful and wonderful. There are a few little markets to pick up groceries, there were several open restaurants. Meltemi was a really great stay. A quintessential complex of white washed buildings with blue doors connected by a maze of stairs. Our room had double doors that opened to a view of the hills, so we opened them every morning and lay in bed looking out at the view, and we sat on the balcony late into the evening. The room was clean and spacious, had a fridge, the beds were comfy. The location was perfect, right in town and a short walk to the switchback trail up to the high point and Church of Paragia. The views from there and from a viewpoint in town are spectacular. For hikers, lots of trails, including a spectacular coastal trail from Angali to Agios Nikolaos beach where we went swimming. Easy to rent a car for the 12 km length of the island but there are buses as well making it unnecessary to need a car for some. Can’t say enough about the island and Meltemi was a great place to stay. Note, if you have a car you park in the parking lot on the outside of town and walk in (not far) to the hotel. A note about the bathroom, we had no issues - the shower does not have a curtain so the floor can get wet, however we were in 15 different places all over Greece and just about all the showers were the same, open with no curtain. All great.

We liked the location in Chora. A small basic room with a small patio area: fragrant lilies and amaryllis were blooming while we were there(mid May). Patio has table and chairs. Perfect for our needs. We like that it is a family run hotel. The owners are very nice. Easy walking distance to everything in Chora: bus station, places to eat, shops. The bathroom floor is very slippery. The shower curtain didn’t prevent water from getting on the floor which made it more slippery. The bath mat got sopping wet and wasn’t replaced daily. This is our only very small (hopefully helpful) criticism- but did not affect our positive opinion of Meltemi.

The windows of the room were small and faced the street. I'm not complaining - it's due to the traditional character of the buildings.

perfect location and the best breakfast place (1 minute walk)

I was in Room number 3, which was located behind the hotel in a quiet area, very close to the Panagia Church. Owners ( Christos and his mum Maria ) are very friendly and kind. Christos father came to port to pick me up. I asked for a kettle, and Maria provided one swiftly. A mirror next to Hair Dryer would be ideal.

Instantly fell in love with this island when I stepped off the boat . A lovely gentleman was there to greet me and took me the short distance up the road to Meltemi. This little hotel is no frills but a picture postcard and comfortable. A real slice of the Cyclades . The gentleman’s wife showed me to my room, spoke no English but had a smile and warmth. The best experience so far on my trip . The village was super quiet with a hand full of restaurants open . A real tonic to the hussle and bussle of Santorini . I hope this places never changes . Adored it and will be back . I missed my ferry due to cancellation and the owner didn’t charge me for the no show night. Genuinely great people. Thank you for a great stay GC No breakfast but a little place around the corner did the job but that’s not a complaint

The Meltemi is a gem. It was everything I expected it to be and more. It had everything we needed and nothing more. Perfect. Nothing.

Beautiful location

Brilliant location 1 minute walk from the central square but very quiet. Simple clean rooms. Small outdoor seating area outside our room. Quintessential Greek complex: white, blue paint and pink bougainvillea Rooms are on the smaller side, could only get into bed from one side. A few decorations on the walls would be nice. No umbrella for the outdoor area which made it useable only in the late afternoon.
