Urban Style Biarritz Hôtel du Relais

The host is an incredibly welcoming and kind woman. She was very friendly and gave us all the information we needed about the city. It was our first time in Biarritz, and she truly made the experience so much better for me and my fiancé. The room was comfortable, and the pillows were wonderfully soft, we slept so well. We had such a lovely stay and would definitely come back again!

St. Charles neighborhood is great. No sea view but I booked late so it was the best option. I had a little balcony with table and chairs, but I didn’t really use it other than to dry out my running clothes. Direct vis-a-vis on a house and apartment building, but I wasn’t bothered by that. Parking in the neighborhood is pretty easy and free. This was close to an apartment I was visiting. And not a far walk from the beaches and downtown. Good to have a water kettle to make tea and coffee. A must for me. I always like to have a fridge in the room to be able to keep a yogurt or actimel. This one didn’t have one. TV didn’t work super well but I didn’t need it.

Breakfast was French-style, with croissants and rolls, jam and butter, orange juice, coffee, yoghurt. The quantity was sufficient, the quality good. The bed was big and comfortable. - Please note that the reception is not staffed at all times, so you have to make an appointment if you arrive outside those hours. - The living room area downstairs was large and modern. The hotel is an easy 15 minutes walk from the city center and the beach. The parking lot is in a closed complex. If you arrive early, you can not park your car. We understood this after phoning the hotel. Everything worked out in the end.

The proximity to walk to the center. So close, yet just tucked away for quiet. And, the service was excellent - personable, professional and attentive - thank you, Ned! None.

very nice hotel for short-term stay. our bed was super comfortable, everything was clean. location is fine, we reached city center approximately in 15 minutes on foot.

Friendly staff, Comfortable bed-unexpectedly given soft mattress. Clean. The fan in the room compensated adequately for the lack of air conditioning at 23° ambient temperature. Nice, reasonably priced breakfast with attentive service. Initial problem with shower not draining dealt with promptly. Reasonable water flow in shower. Character in decoration. Hotel conveniently placed for the St Charles cluster of artisan shops and restaurants. Front door is open from 16:00 checking in time. There is a phone number to call if you need attention and the receptionist happily opened the door for us to leave our luggage until check in time. Hotel a good 15 minute walk into town. Room small, shower cubicle small. If the weather is hot, you may need to choose between ventilation with the window open and traffic noise, or just relying on the fan with the window closed. Room pricing was steep-but that's Biarritz for you...

A really nice stay with helpful and friendly hosts. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood close to bakeries and shops and not too far from the beach.

Location was ok No air con, no wifi, room was tiny, no parking available, shower overflowed, price was crazy in comparison to rest of France including Paris for what you get. Felt like staying in a university dormitory
