Barcelona Pere Tarrés Hostel

Superb

The check-in process was quick and smooth. The bathrooms were clean and well-maintained, and the breakfast was quite good, with around 8–9 different buffet options including cheese, salami, granola and various drinks. There is also a shopping mall nearby, which was convenient. I chose this hostel because of its high rating, but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The rooms are extremely small, with four bunk beds for eight people, and there was barely enough space to breathe when we first arrived. The room felt very stuffy, and we only went there to sleep, which was still an unpleasant experience. The beds were uncomfortable and there was almost no personal space—you really feel like you are sleeping in a prison bunk. If you have asthma or are sensitive to stuffy environments, I definitely would not recommend staying here. The location is also quite far from most attractions, and it often took 40 minutes or more to get around.

I Enjoyed the diversity of people! I was in a shared Room and those guys were just the best! The Room was always cleaned! The food for me was great and affordable! THANK you for everything! I will come back for sure. The only thing that I will be picky on is the rule of checking on 2.pm and leaving at 10.am! I guess that is the rule everywhere and I Still do not like it! Over all it is a nice place

Something really bad in the bed sheets, or undersheets. At first look, they looked clean, but after several days I got numerous rashes on my legs and arms, especially on the neck that was touching them. Been in many hostels, never got that before. There was something really bad in those bed sheets.

Breakfast included. The facilities are great. Big common areas (kitchen, common buffet area, computers, outdoor space...) Great location. Nice staff Everything was great. The roommates weren't but that's not the hostel fault

Everything except too many beds in one room but it's not filled always. Breakfast was amazing. You can even get breakfast earlier if you are checking out earlier. Too much bed in one room.

Location and breakfast is nice, answers with messaging. The lobby area has a lot of resting spots A bit confusing of the name outside the hostel, the light in room 116, takes time to turn on in the toilet, the soap dispenser is broken.

If you are a solo traveler or a backpacker looking for the classic Barcelona hostel experience—social nights, pub crawls, meeting people in cozy common spaces, and a vibrant international vibe—Pere Tarrés is likely not the place for you. During my stay, the atmosphere felt much closer to a rigid university dormitory or a school-trip lodging than a social youth hostel. The hostel is frequently booked out by large groups of very young teenagers and school excursion groups. Because of this, it lacks the independent, mingling backpacker energy you typically find in European hostels. There are virtually no organized activities or events designed to bring guests together. If you are traveling alone, making friends here takes a lot of active effort, as most people stick to their pre-existing groups or keep to themselves. The shared spaces are functional at best, but certainly not comfortable. They lack the cozy, relaxed seating, warm lighting, or welcoming layout that encourages people to hang out, read, or chat for long periods. It feels more like a waiting room than a lounge. On the bright side, the facilities are generally clean, the staff is professional, and the location in the Les Corts district is quiet and safe with decent metro access.

Location is good And near to many areas Place is not clean at all and no room service check rooms everyday And they never clean the room after people check out Also the receptionist was so rude while check in. I have arrived almost 1:30PM and never let me checked in until 5:00PM which violate the check in rules that they already sent me The breakfast is same the whole stay

Generous and spacious communal spaces, welcoming atmosphere, simple access control to lockers via card. Public transport not far away, tram stop just a short walk away in Av. Diagona, metro a little farther, 10-15 min walk to Barcelona Sants station. Small shops, cafés, and shopping centre nearby. There was no butter at breakfast. Otherwise no issues.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to be helpful. The cooking facilities in the communal kitchen were handy. The beds had lockable drawers which were useful for storing my things in. The breakfast was nice, but it was the same thing every day which made it repetitive.

Everyone was so nice and welcoming, and helped explain how the hostel worked. Everything was very clean and the room was a very good size with towels and clean sheets provided. The breakfast could have had more options, I am gluten free and there were no alternatives and also no eggs.
