Mango Guest House is a truly wonderful place—a beautiful house surrounded by a lovely garden where it is easy to relax, unwind, and disconnect from the bustle of everyday life. The property is exceptionally clean and well maintained. The team who looked after us in the restaurant was always kind, attentive, and welcoming, and the food was delicious. Even on the days when we had to leave very early in the morning, everything was perfectly arranged for us, including breakfast and ferry transportation. While the hotel is not located in Aswan city itself, staying on the island is absolutely worth it. The peaceful atmosphere and unique setting make Mango Guest House a special place to experience.

Charming quaint and authentic guest house off the beaten track on elephantine island. Very clean, well equipped , excellent food and staff. Access to little swim spots and beaches on boat. Perfect for the curious traveller! Nothing

The staff were extremely nice and welcoming . We truly felt like this was our home away from home. I love the location, transport was easy! The rooms are clean and spacious, delicious homemade breakfast! I could go on and on. I am looking forward to visiting again! Beautiful community!

Wonderful guest house on Elephantine island. Room was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. Staff was exceptionally kind, friendly and helpful. Their warmth made you feel like you were more than a guest. More a good friend or even member of the family. Not a luxury place, but sublime for the connection that it promotes to the community. Highly recommended. The lighting was a bit spare so the room was not well lit, but that was no big deal. Biggest regret was not to be able to become acquainted with Pook more.

I love Mango guest hause. Its beautiful oases in the nubian village. There is garden, kitchen, where you can have free coffee or tea all day long. Breakfest is perfect and its served in the terrace with incredible view. You can enjoy another higher terrace to relax. Rooms are clean and comfortable. All staff is very nice and helpful. I hope to come back again soon. Thank you guys.

Very nice place with a courtyard that offered outdoor tables. Very quiet, great view. Rooms were better than expected. The staff was very accommodating to our needs. Breakfast was ample for a competitive price. On the island without addresses and Google Maps, it was a challenge to find it for the first time.

This is lovely guesthouse, run by a wonderful, friendly staff. I felt privileged to stay here. Modern facilities in a quaint, garden setting. Excellent breakfast and terrific views from the rooftop terrace.

No complaints. Just be aware you are on the island and will need to arrange transport to get to the other activities on the East Bank.

The staff make this guest house exceptional. They went above and beyond in everything.

Wonderful staff
-
Beautiful rooftop dining area and lounge. The island has a cool vibe very much unlike the rest of Aswan. Excellent breakfasts. Nice honor-system bottled water and lending library. Lovely garden and seating area downstairs. Friendly staff. Getting lost walking from and to the ferry.

When I finally saw the hotel, I was genuinely surprised — it was beautiful! It was definitely worth what I paid. The place is clean, well-maintained, and the services are complete and well-organized. You can really see that they take good care of both the property and their guests. The location is also great because it’s close to the restaurants on the island, which is very convenient. Finding the hotel was quite challenging, especially after getting off the boat. It was hard to locate, and if you’re carrying heavy luggage, it can really be difficult. I hope they can add clearer signages and better directions from the port area. My only suggestion is to add more visible signages and clearer directions, especially at night. It gets very dark, and it can feel a bit scary when you’re not sure where you’re going.

Pretty and quiet property. Staff were wonderful and friendly.

The staff are wonderful, smiling, and super helpful! Location on Elephantine Island is perfect - close to the ferry boat, but quiet. The garden & roofdeck are lovely! And the breakfast is nice too. Rooms are spacious, bed was very comfortable!

Staff seemed very nice. Clean, big room with comfortable bathroom. Got us a good price on a tour to Luxor. Helped us get to ferry. Definitely would recommend. We did not get boxed breakfast but price seemed very high for what was offered. Save your money on that.
-
Beautiful hotel, adventurous to get there but also fun to get there by the ferry and walking the dirt paths on the island to hotel. Impeccably clean.
-
Friendly staff run the Mango guesthouse on quiet Elephantine island, free of cars and congestion. The room is clean and serviceable, but not fancy. We quite liked the view over breakfast from the rooftop terrace.

After really disappointing hotels in Cairo and Luxor in the same range, this one really exceeded my expectations. It’s on an island, but don’t worry, it’s really easy and cheap to get across with a public ferry for 15-20 egp during daytime hours, and even during the night, when the price is 75-100 egp because they transport only you. The staff is really nice, the garden fabolous and smell so nice, the rooms are super clean (cleaning lady will empty your trash and make your bed every day), you get all the toiletaries and two towels, even complimentary peanuts awaits you in the room. In the main hall, they have a fridge with water and sodas you can buy for a regular price, and you can also use that fridge for you own food. It's super quiet since there is no traffic on the island. Having a quiet room is something you really need when you travel around Egypt.
