The hotel is charming and the staff are super excellent

The location was great. We could walk easily from the train station and to surrounding areas of Amsterdam. The room was good because it had space for 3. Also access to snacks and drinks at the main hotel. It's a little cozy for 3. The climate control was pointed directly at the 3rd bed, making it uncomfortable for sleeping there, so we couldn't use it.

Creative room design, comfy beds, central location! Overall this was a great small boutique hotel - the only downside was that we could hear outside noise from the street while sleeping

We stay in a quadriple room and it is very very spacious for a family of 4. Good facilities in the room with 2 TV in 2 rooms. nothing

Everything about this hotel was amazing! In a wonderful part of the city near everything. The hotel receptionist was excellent at explaining everything.

The staff was exceptional always willing to go above and beyond. Breakfast was excellent.

you feel like home

Small, not much room to place the luggage. Toilet was separate from sink to wash your hands. Needs some hooks to hang things. Stairs were awkward.

The breakfast was excellent as was the location. Complimentary drinks were a bonus. Checking in at a different location after 5 PM was a little different.

The location is very central and the rooms are decorated nicely. Nothing, I liked everything

The location was perfect for everything that my friends and I wanted to do in the city! The beds were comfortable and the staff were friendly! They even helped us stay an extra day when our flights got cancelled.

The room was nice, the staff was great. Breakfast was very good. You have to go to another site for breakfast.

The room was small and in the basement, which is not exactly what you hope for that price. The alley of the hotel is small and dirty. Someone spilled something at the entrance and stayed there 2 days.

Best staff at any facility we stayed throughout Europe.

Super convenient- not more than a 10-20 min walk to all the areas one would want to visit. Right off of main pedestrian/shopping area with great stores. Tram right outside. Beds were comfy. Toilet separate from shower/sink. Staff was lovely. Room for 3 was very cramped. Did not like decor theme of our room which was Home Theater. It was dark & dreary. No rugs so in winter room felt very cold & unwelcoming. Need to make the room cozier & brighten up. No closet nor dresser. Our luggage took up every ounce of floor space so it was stressful. Check-in & breakfast is in another building. Breakfast was nothing fabulous. Decent. No view.

Kris was an awesome host. Rooms were modern, albeit small. Personalized note in the room was appreciated (with Heineken!). Mattress and pillows were very good. Breakfast at main building was great. Rooms were small (although known at time of booking).

Such a wonderful stay at The Highland House Hotel in Amsterdam! Each room has its own unique theme. Stayed in the Music Room, super comfortable and spotlessly clean. A special thank you to Kris and Valentina, who went above and beyond before and during our visit. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything we needed.

Breakfast was hot and self served. More TV channels, a wider choice.
