Ownership was fantastic. Willing to explain everything and help with sightseeing in town. Beds were comfortable and facilities were clean. Car parking for drivers. The walk to Minster was about 10-15 minutes. Not bad for my group, but could be an issue for some.

Staff was great, as was breakfast. Room comfortable, shower excellent. Bonus bar open from 4 to 8p! Nothing!

A lovely place with kind hosts.

The location was perfect for exploring York. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel like welcomed guests and not merely paying customers. The breakfasts were excellent and served freshly prepared to our orders. The bar was a lovely location to sit and enjoy a drink in the evening. It would have been nice if the bar had remained open for perhaps another hour, but this is a minor complaint. We loved the place and would happily stay here again.

Lovely large, clean and stylish room. Comfortable bed, well equipped room, helpful staff and a high quality, freshly cooked breakfast, good choice for the buffet section too - it was really nice to have fruit available. Nothing, we had a lovely stay

Me and my partner liked that the staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful when we stayed for a couple of nights to explore the city. I'm vegan so it would have been nice if oat milk was offered in sachets in the refreshments in the room as well as cow's milk.

The room was great, the price was cheaper than most comparable options, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient (a 6 minute walk to the center of the city). I did not dislike anything.

Shower could have hand use extension. Just raindrop was ok but would be better with option

Gorgeous room, easy walk into the centre (10 minutes) and the owners were delightful and really accommodating.

George did a fabulous job checking us in… he was friendly and informative Nothing

The front-facing windows were lovely but downside was that we could hear the traffic at night/in the morning.

The staff was attentive and the food was excellent. Very nice atmosphere.

Great location and comfy bed. Chef went out of his way to accommodate my dietary requirements (coeliac) for breakfast which was much appreciated.

Fantastic room and lovely bar area. Staff member was incredible (think his name was George). Nothing was too much trouble, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable! Thank you Nothing at all

We absolutely loved our stay, it was so lovely decorated and our room was a good size and there was everything you needed, I thought having shower gel and liquid soap was a lovely touch the room was beautiful and the tea and coffee was topped up daily, it was in a perfect location we didn't use our car as it was about 15 to 20 minutes walk to the town, we paid extra for breakfast which was really good as there's plenty of choices, and they have a bar which was open 4 until 8pm which was nice with a good stock of drinks and the staff were lovely, we would highly recommend staying here, hopefully we will be back again soon ? The staff, Michal & George, were very polite and most attentive to our needs, they were helpful with recommendations as to what they thought we would enjoy visiting. The breakfast was very good.

This place was by far the most luxurious and fun spot on our whole trip. We loved the space, the people who run it were warm and friendly, and my kids loved playing foosball in the lobby. Would love to return. It was a little bit of a walk from the main town. Not too bad but with the kids sometimes it made it a little hard to get around but we still would return.
