Malmaison York

The hotel was located a short walk from the train station. The room was comfortable and clean, and had AC. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant was wonderful, and I also enjoyed the rooftop bar! A great experience for a short trip in York.

Location close to Centre. Breakfast was excellent and surroundings. Room was a bit dark.

Rooms are tight and poor lighting

Great location. The room was comfortable and very clean. Some design features in the room are a little silly and dont work. My wife didnt like that there was no mirror near natural light, which made it diffuclt to get ready for a night out.

Was very close the everything. Perfect location The breakfast was okay o had to send the cooked breakfast back as the bacon wasn’t cooked very well and was cold but other than that was a lovely hotel . We dien get to use the roof top bar as you had to book we didn’t know this as was always busy . Was a shame as would have been nice to go Up there

Great location. Arrival & parking not convenient due to layout of the hotel. Given the cost of the room, the hotel needs more staff to provide better levels of service. Restaurant disappointing.

Modern, clean and friendly hotel. There is very limited parking on site. 24 hour paring in York is expensive. We paid £24. It was a fair distance away from hotel.

Breakfast was quite good with lots of variety. Rooms were quiet. Beds coomfortable.Location very near town. Staff was helpful. Really liked the night light arrangement as I get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. a hook near the shower so I could reach the tow without getting out of the shower the reach the towel.

The price was a little expensive at £430 for 2 nights

The breakfast is very good with a large variety. Always served by very good and knowledgeable and friendly staff and the food was very well cooked and tasted delicious.

Great location in central York. Near to all the sights - easy walking to Westminster. Loved the comfy beds and fridge in the room as well as overall room layout. Good value. Friendly helpful staff. It was wonderful

Location was great, Sky bar very nice, most of the staff friendly. For the price we though the room was relatively small, in addition, the windows did not open, and the air con was not that cold. The bathroom layout was terrible, not separate from the bedroom area plus small and dark. Whist the morning breakfast was ok, we were one of the first down at 8am, it was clear that the full English had been cooked for some time and kept warm, which given the time we were surprised about, I’d have expected freshly cooked food at that time. Hotel only has 7 parking space so could not park at the hotel.

Staff check-in service was a little lacklustre - they often didn't have answers to basic local questions and there was little to no assistance on arrival with luggage
