Breakfast was very nice, plenty of choice from the buffet and the menu. loved the location but I did think the room was overpriced, quite small. All of the staff were very helpful especially young lady on reception. Just a small thing, a long mirror in the room, every hotel room should have one

Polite Staff spotless clean Also a beautiful breakfast and meals nice drinks and cocktails Good location right in the centre of York would stay again Our room was a terrace room which was more like a garden pod it was small and no privacy had to have the blinds drawn at all times so no natural light people in the conservatory could see straight in the room and also people using the stairwell could see right in not very private at all. When I chose a terrace room I thought it would be a room with terrace view not a pod in the garden

Property is a lovely property and in a great location. Staff were lovely and helpful. We stayed in one of the rooms at the back of property and it’s quite close to the bar and there is a little area outside this is on top of the rooms. I would suggest they seperate that off just for residents

Liked location & bar staff were exceptional. Asked for twin beds as 2 friends sharing but were 2 close. Beds uncomfortable & noisy when you moved in them. Thought the reception staff were not very welcoming.

Great location in the city centre. Elegant room and very comfortable. Lovely chocolate truffles as gift in room. Very noisy at 6.30am when there was a beer delivery.

Location great...staff were great too. Room (Room 17) was small, dark and noisy with poor oulook.

The staff were very friendly, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were put in a room that overlooked the bins and storage area, which wasn't very nice to look at. On a very hot night of the year, the windows didn't open properly to get any breeze through. The toilet had a very weak flush. Considering this was £250 for one night, we expected a higher quality of offering.

The bed was very comfortable and the location was excellent..the breakfast was very nice too. The skylight in the room (the hotel could do with finding a way of blocking the light out) couldn't have a relaxing lay in.
