Mere Hotel

Location was good, parking was terrible. Throughly disappointed with this hotel and booking’s listing. I will seriously reconsidering using booking in the future as this experience was far below reasonable expectations for a hotel that costs as much as this one. I had the following issues: 1. I purposefully booked the hotel considering it had EV charging. EV charger was not functioning and after notifying staff there was no compensation or offer to make things right. Come to find out after checking online, it’s been broken for months. Booking and the hotel need to fix their listings as no functioning EV charger exists at this location. 2. For the price, we didn’t even get a complimentary bottle of cold water. I’ve stayed in hotels with less than half the rate that this and somehow they were able to manage a couple of bottles of water in the room. 3. Bed sheet / comforter smelled stale with a hint of mildew / urine. Considering how they acted with the EV charger I didn’t bother mentioning this to the staff. 4. More of a booking issuing but when did making a decent profit turn into unbridled corporate greed? Our stay was booked weeks in advance and come to find out the day of checking in, after already paying, that the rate was 1/3 less.

Unique and location No restaurant

The location was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a great stop on our cross country trip. We enjoyed the restaurants nearby.

No meals provided Shower big, spacious, towels fluffy Great River view Comfy beds, clean Shower very slippery, no mat,no bars to hang on to if falling. Roommate fell when showering. No decent chair to sit on. If you want to read or have a guest,the only place to sit is 2 small,low cubes ,a hard wooden chair with no padding or the bed. Low cubes are hard to get up from. Definitely need a decent Comfy chair. Had to phone to request info about WiFi. Not given at checkin

Nothing. Boring standard room. Good for Winnipeg I suppose. Understaffed. Checking took far too long. Cleaning staff was loud in the hallway at 8am. How is that relaxing.

Not applicable I know that parking is a real issue. We were fortunate to finally get a spot in what felt like a more secure spot that does belong to the hotel both times that we stayed this summer. Reception was amazing in trying to help us out!

Good hotel, location was really nice right beside the river. AC worked great even though it was blisteringly hot outside the rooms were nice and cool. There was even a set of little cruiser bikes available to borrow, excellent feature for myself. And the on-site restaurant was quick and had decent food. Good experience overall. Only small suggestion would be that the front desk should perhaps have access to a bike pump for the bike tires. Bikes were very nice to have and a little pump for customer use would go a long way to making the bikes optomally useful.

Clean, modern facilities. Helpful staff. Adjacent to well groomed gardens, and paths along the Red River: River walk has outdoor benches and tables. Parking lot stalls are too small and tight. Could not park my truck. However, off street parking was provided.
