I enjoyed it a lot to stay in the home of Janet and Steve, who gave me a warm and extra friendly welcome. It’s a beautiful and cosy house with big guest rooms and even an extra shared room to read, have breakfast or have your own takeaway dinner. Janet does an extraordinary breakfast with self-made sourdough bread, self-made apple jam and works with lots of herbs and vegetables from her garden, it’s delicious! Both know everything about the area, and are happy to give good advices, whether it’s seals in Ravenscar or a fab pub concert in town. Parking is easy, I did park in a small street right next to the house. There’s a bus stop next to the house, an easy ride to Whitby or back after a walk at the coast. I would definitely stay again when I am in the area, thanks a lot Janet and Steve! Just a minor downside: To walk into Robins Hood Bay is taking around 25 minutes, it’s partly steep. But of course one can also drive with the car to the very entrance of the village.

We stayed here a few weeks ago but only just got round to writing this review. Janet was a fabulous host - nothing was too much trouble for her. The breakfast was really good, the room was clean and had everything we needed. It was a nice walk into Robin Hoods Bay which is supposedly 15 minutes but I don't think it was even that long, we seemed to be there in no time. Couldn't fault this place at all. I would definitely recommend to anyone and will definitely book again if we were going to the area in the future. Nothing - everything was great.
