Cleaning was poorly done before we came into the room.

Staff was terrible. Booked 3 rooms, and when I got there maybe 3 hours later, they said they didnt have any rooms. Then told me I had to cancel rhe reservation, I'm guessing because they incur penalties for renting out rooms that they don't have on Booking. Staff was incredibly rude. If you book here, have a backup plan!

A big downgrade from the previous owners. Getting into the building at night is needlessly complicated. The old room cards have been disabled under the new management. Instead, you have to use a small lockbox: dial in a code, retrieve a key, unlock the door, prop it open with a wedge, and then return the key to the box. It's a clumsy process, especially late at night. Breakfast has also been scaled back considerably compared to what it used to be.

Location. Price. Photos of the property Needs proper housekeeping. Dirty everywhere. Extremely dirty. And shabby. Needs small fast renovation. Rooms and public spaces.

Location was nice, rooms were spacious AC did not work in either of the 2 rooms we booked. We addressed the issue twice. Noone fixed the AC, offered us a different room, or any type of compensation for the inconvenience. It was 30 degrees in the rooms, and we had 2 toddlers with us

Sarah (I think)was excellent . Very pleasant and professional. Even under pressure with the check in problems and a number of annoyed and impatient guests she kept her composure and pleasant positive outlook .She was left alone to deal with all the problems and guests .Dormero is fortunate to have an employee like her . We had to wait 2hours and 45 minutes ( 3 pm - 5:45)for our room. to be cleaned before we could check in . When we finally could get our room there was only one master key no actual room key. After we returned from dinner there were at least 12 guest trying to check in and we had to wait for another guest to return the master key so I could open the room for my wife and return the key to the front desk.Quite a disappointing experience I have never stayed in a hotel where I didn't have a key to my room. Sarah was the saving grace for our stay .

Great location in the middle of the old town. Rooms were very nice. Plenty of options around for food and drinks. Good wifi in the rooms. We had two rooms, one faced the street and with the window open for fresh air the nightlife could be loud late at night. Other room faced a canal and was very quiet.

The hotel is in an excellent, central location with easy access to the city. Our stay in Room 121 was deeply disappointing. The bathroom had no door or even a curtain, offering no privacy whatsoever. More troubling was the persistent and lingering foul smell that lasted throughout our stay. We could not identify the source until checkout, when we discovered used women’s lingerie and men’s boxer briefs on the top shelf of the closet. The odor was unpleasant and resembled that of spoiled shellfish. I have attached pictures. This clearly indicates that the room was not properly cleaned or inspected before our arrival. Such oversights are unacceptable and reflect a serious lapse in hygiene and quality control. I selected this hotel only because the Best Western was fully booked, but I will not be returning and strongly advise others to take caution.

I really appreciated that the room had a bathtub, which was perfect for relaxing after many hours of driving through the rain. I had messaged the property through Booking to ask if they could reserve a room with a bathtub, since the listing mentioned either a shower or bathtub. They replied very quickly and confirmed the bathtub, which made me feel genuinely looked after. The room was also clean, spacious, and quiet, with a calm atmosphere and a great location for exploring Wels. Just a couple of minor things that could be improved: the area under the bathtub drain cover was a bit rusty, and the “large double bed” turned out to be two single beds pushed together with separate mattresses and a shared topper. Not a big issue, but something to keep in mind, especially for a 4-star standard.

Great hotel in Wels center! Helpful staff, best possible location, comfy beds, clean, old aesthetic still preserved, safe parking spots... Would stay again!
