Clean, nice staff, nice design, good location. Short staffed in the breakfast room, our room was too small to the point of being somewhat uncomfortable. Also, when booked, was not able to know that they have to different sections of the hotel. We had to go up 54 stairs to our room.

The hotel is centrally located. The bed is comfortable. The view of the plaza is lovely. Housekeeping services are great. This hotel is a far cry from a five star property. The elevator was out of service when we checked in. The climate control needed repairs. Our room was so hot both days of our stay. The technician never came to fix the system affecting most of the hotel. They gave us a portable fan but it's loud. They said to open the windows but all the bugs came in and slept in the bed with us. We also tried to sleep with a live band playing until midnight on a Tuesday. It was only the end of March but the rooms will get hot from the afternoon sun. The room furnishings are cheap quality. The toiletries consisted of shampoo and hand wash only. No hair conditioner, or toothbrush, or shower caps, or swabs, etc. This stay is not worth 350 euros a night. There are much better properties for about 200. By the way, the other reviews mentioned similar problems so these problems occur frequently. As for TV, there are no options to watch Netflix or YouTube or cast from your device.

Everything about our stay in this hotel was exceptional. This is a beautifully restored building set on a small town square. The hotel and rooms are tastefully decorated giving a lovely sense of calm and relaxing place to be. The Mistral Restaurant was the highlight of our stay which on two nights we sampled wonderful dishes! Breakfasts not to be missed with impeccable service. Definitely book this hotel - you will not be disappointed! Nothing!

expensive compared to the value received

It was clean with large bedroom Room not soundproofed. Was up three nights straight with partying from downstairs first night and fifteen month old baby next door having a melt down next two! So bad I was supposed to stay a fourth night and just checked out to stay at another place so I could sleep!

Location is great. At the heart of Tavira. The hotel itself is beautiful. The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. They arranged a baby crib for our 9 month old baby. Breakfast (included) was of high quality. Staff was super friendly and polite. Our room was in the third floor and there was no direct access to it by elevator, which isn't ideal if you have a baby with a stroller, or if you can't use stairs for any other reason.

The breakfast and the location were very good. The staff at dinner were excellent. WiFi was terrible. We were not aware that there was a paid WiFi. The staff overall were friendly except for one young woman at breakfast. Never a smile on her face and we felt as if we were bothering her.
