Hotel Casa 1800 Sevilla

The location This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time and normally I am quite content with booking.com. We never even stayed at the hotel because there were problems with the air conditioning and the room was not as shown in the photos. Even after it was already clear that we would not be staying, the hotel charged my card again. When I questioned this, I was told that it was simply the original amount split into two separate charges. However, the two charges together were around €30 MORE than the amount I was originally supposed to pay. Despite repeatedly trying to get a clear explanation, nobody seems to take responsibility or be able to explain where this additional charge came from. I was then told that a refund had been processed, but days later there is still no refund visible on my card, nothing on Booking.com, and I have had to chase the hotel for proof that the refund was actually issued. The most disturbing part is the complete lack of transparency and responsibility. A guest should not have to spend days trying to understand why additional money was charged after it was already clear that they would not be staying. Having to unexpectedly find alternative accommodation was stressful enough. The fact that I then had to spend days dealing with unexplained charges, unclear information and chasing a refund turned an unfortunate situation into an unnecessarily exhausting one. We did not spend a single night at this hotel, yet the whole experience caused a huge amount of unnecessary stress, and I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Fantastic location, beautifully decorated room with spacious, modern bathroom. Air conditioning worked perfectly and was fully adjustable.

The staff were excellent and the hotel itself was beautiful, with lots of lovely and quirky touches that really made the stay feel special. We particularly enjoyed the afternoon tea, complimentary coffee and teas, and the thoughtful gifts provided each day. The location was also superb and made it very convenient for exploring the area. Overall, there was a lot to love about the hotel and the attention to detail was fantastic. Unfortunately, during our stay, we were moved to three different rooms because either the shower or air conditioning was not functioning properly. The staff were excellent and moved us promptly each time, which we really appreciated. However, in my opinion, the hotel should prioritise ensuring that essential and expected room facilities are functioning correctly before focusing time, effort and money on additional extras, such as the gifts mentioned above. Nonetheless, we had an otherwise wonderful experience and hope these issues will be addressed. If they are, I would have no hesitation in rating the hotel a 10/10.

Amazing location in the heart of the Santa Cruz district amongst all the famous tapas bars and the historical monuments. Lovely hotel with rooftop pool. Free afternoon tea each day, a nice touch . Excellent air con much needed in Seville and great bathroom with nice products a bonus. It's not a problem, but just for information, parking is a six minute walk away ( not on site), but this is the same for all central Seville hotels.

Excellent location, friendly staff and the building was so charming. Loved how you can see the cathedral while swimming in the pool. I can’t say anything bad, I had a great experience.

Beautiful property with an excellent location! I loved how unique my room was and the rooftop was lovely. I don’t think the location can get much better than this!! Visually it’s beautiful as well, really well done and aesthetically on point.

The location is superb right in the centre of the old town! Lots to bars and restaurants and the Cathedral and palace and many many more local attractions at the bottom of the street! Absolutely nothing
