Ambergris Sunset Hotel

Excellent location for the marina and ferry. It was also close to many restaurants and bars. There was also parking available for our golf cart. At first glance, you may think the property is a bit run down. It could use a makeover, but with that said, my friend and I had a comfortable stay and the price was very reasonable.

No staff at night people really loud and smoking weed at the common areas.

Great place to stay close to everywhere and fair value for what you lab

The device we received from the host was outstanding, they went above and beyond to help us out.

I stayed with my band and while we were rehearsing for our night gig, staff came and knock on our door inviting us out to the bar area to play for the guests for a few minutes. It was awesome. The hot water took a while to warm up and didn't stay hot for the entire shower.

The facility is dated. There is a coffee maker in the family room so bring your own coffee grounds. The restaurant can be loud until 9pm.

Owner and staff were all very friendly, everything was clean, room was perfectly adequate, pool area was small but very cute. Perfect location. Would visit again! Would have loved a water cooler/a place where I could get hot water in the mornings for tea.

Coffee machine but no coffee. Not enough towels. No toaster. Dirty. No hot water. Beds old. Termite flakes dropping in my friend's hair overnight from the top of the bunk bed. Just awful . Too expensive for getting nothing. Nothing else available in town or I would have left. Pool was warmer than the shower, but the pool is about the size of a bathtub. Probably should have just taken my bar of soap in there! See above. I did this backwards. There wasn't anything I liked except that the guy at the bar, Moondo was very nice but that part of the business is leased out to so doesn't belong to the hotel at all.

Excellent location and staff. Adjacent bar is great, very lively with good drinks and food. While the pool is small we were able to hang out with friends there in the evening and it was great to have a common space to do that. It could use some TLC

The host was super friendly and welcoming. The room was very nice as well. They kept the pool clean daily. There was a good restaurant and bar at the location, in addition there was busy party spot right across the street. The location is super close to all of the water ferry options.

There was no breakfast The window doesn't open. To ventilate I had to leave the door open.

The staff was excellent. Bring earplugs if you go to bed early; it's loud from 5:30-9:30 with evening music. Staff was kind, room was great, music is loud at night.

A 5-minute walk to Caribbean sprint water taxi to go to caye caulker or Belize city. Miguel, the host is very friendly, kind and hospitable. He gave us info where to go in San Pedro and its vicinity. Near the beach area. You can walk the mile from end to end of beach area which is beautiful. Clean room with a restaurant on premises Parking for golf cart available Near restaurants and shops. Jack Fry is a 5-minute walk. It’s a Belizian specialty. The shrimp jack fry was delicious. 5 minutes walk to Western Dairies for our daily ice cream. I highly recommend Ambergris Sunset Inn. Old but clean so a great value.

Staff was very friendly and helpful Our mattress was hard and you could feel the springs.

The Owners where extremely polite and friendly. Great location in the heart of San Pedro. Nice pool and great working AC. So im a little spoiled when it comes to beds. The mattresses were ok but would be nice if they were a little more updated. Overall not too bad though.
