When I was finally ready to leave, he did help me with my luggage. However, before I even had the chance to offer him a tip, he was already asking me for one, which I found unprofessional and uncomfortable.

Wonderful stay at the hotel

The breakfast buffet was good and the seating in the great room with the chandeliers and atrium like setting was beautiful. We had dinner at the Piper Hotel restaurant and they did a great job on my husband’s steak. The hotel is in walking distance to pretty much everything if you’re an avid walker. The metro/Bart station is on the corner so, we took Bart to the airport (adventure, less time & expense. We saw the musical Hairspray at the SF playhouse (very good) and a baseball game. If you do a day game make sure you bring a wide brim hat and sunscreen as many of the seats are in the sun. Food was good. We advise advance reservations to many of the popular restaurants. If you go to Bix be advised that the while its website mentions the Jazz starts at 6pm; it didn’t start until 7pm. We also needed to order our Peking Duck at the time we made reservations at the Z & Y Peking Duck. It was great, order the beans and tea as well! We will be back as there is much more to see and do!

Beautiful hotel. Great location. Friendly staff. I don't know if I'll be back to San Francisco ever again, but if I do, I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else.

Great location to walking to shops in Union Square
-
Great location. Spacious rooms gym and pool were very nice.
-
The hotel itself is wonderful except we we’re on the second floor and there was a wedding in the main ballroom area and it legit felt like we were above a club with the volume of the music and the flashing lights. We had young kids and the music didn’t stop until midnight.
