Holiday Inn Express San Diego Airport - Old Town by IHG

We were in town for the MCRD graduation. Staff have it down to a science. Amazing people and very accommodating. Close to some great restaurants and the base. Everything is within walking distance or they have a shuttle service.

The facilities, staff and room were very good.

The cleanliness, the staff, the breakfast, and the parking were great. Love the location, so close to the airport in the marine base. And the closeness to San Diego old town.

Art was great at check-in, and all of the front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. All of the maintenance and cleaning crew really care about keeping the hotel clean and creating a nice hospitable atmosphere. The breakfast was great and the attendant was very attentive and helpful!

Parking at $25 a night a little steep but in Old Town San Diego and nearby attraction areas the parking is limited and pricey. Streets around the hotel are not too clean and there are several homeless people since the 5 freeway is very close.

Nick was so helpful. Breakfast had many options and was perfect. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. The little store had every kind of amenity that we needed. The views were amazing, and the furniture was comfortable. They offer free rides to Marine Base & several places in old town which made the trip much more interesting. All staff gave us excellent care. We would definitely stay at this motel again. We had 8 people in our group. Everyone of us were amazed with the service!

We came for my son‘s graduation from MCRD SD, and chose this location based on recommendations in Marine parent groups. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and the extra little touches for Marine families made it special. The rooms were very clean, and I have nothing but positive things to say about our stay.

Great for the price

We booked this hotel because of the airport shuttle service. Between the time that we called for pick up and got to the hotel it was about 45 minutes partly because the shuttle driver was also picking up other guests elsewhere. They only have a shuttle every hour so we had to leave at 5 AM. The hotel itself was fine but close-by dining was not so fine.

Accommodations were adequate. Stall really nice. Not so nice location. Would not recommend.

Smoke alarms went off throughout the night that kept all of the guests awake.

Clean rooms and comfy bed. Breakfast hot and refills plenty.

Thank you for the transportation to and from the airport! Elias was extremely kind and helpful for our transportation needs.

The room was hot and smelled musty when we waked in, and there was a sewer smell coming from the bathroom sink. A dirty towel was laying on the coffee table when we arrived and we discovered the next morning that we only had one coffee cup.
