Air conditioner kept turning off the last night, but I opened the window and it cooled off. Shower pressure is strong! I took some videos and heard a whistle a couple of times. Was that Ysidora or Mr Bandini calling for the cat? Loved it and I’m pretty sure I’ll be back.

Interesting old style hotel but the outside noise(trains) is a problem for sleeping

It was awesome it was like you were back in time as you stay there. Staff was really great and helpful. Lots of great and fun shops as well as food all in walking distance.

Some freeway noise outside, but no bother to us. The Gracious and Welcoming manager checked us in. We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful surroundings. Comfortable bed and spacious bath with enormous copper tub and walk in shower. The service is skimpy (keeps things quiet!)-you have to ask for fresh towels and to empty trash for a multiple day stay. Continental breakfast is traditional- minimal pastry and coffee. Cleanliness/maintenance floors need a wet mop and baseboards/windows need dusting.

Large bathroom with good water pressure. Very helpful responsive staff. Someone can always be reached. Charming historic building. Free parking! Window in room needs shades or better curtain to keep light out at night.

The mattress was very uncomfortable such that both of us suffered with poor sleep quality and sore backs. The box spring had visible stains on the sidewalls. There was only one side table beside the bed despite there being room for a second. The upholstery on the one side chair in the room was frayed and torn. Some of the wallpaper was peeling off the wall. With very limited surface area and no hanging space save 3 hooks, storing and accessing packed items was very inconvenient. There was a large, non-working clock on the dresser. One light was out in the bathroom, all lights flickered. There were no conveniences in the room such as refrigerator, coffee maker or microwave. The room to the door had visible gaps that must have had an effect on the seemingly air conditioning unit. The air was cooled, but stayed very humid, making the room uncomfortable. Though a Continental breakfast was served, we found the 8:00 a.m. start to be very late. The common area on the first floor had weeds growing up from the floor, with some climbing up the legs of the chairs.

We liked the patio area, even though it was not open during our visit we were able to hang out. Getting use to bed size and missed the amenities. I know we were suppose to in the 1800’s

Old, unique and charming. Loved how they preserved the original look and atmosphere of the building. The staff were exceptional, really nice and friendly and were willing to answer all questions I had about the hotel and its amenities.

a unique historic property, pleasant courtyard and Old Town location, free parking was a big ++, but definitely needs some serious updating for the price. Stayed in Rm 4/5, bed was very comfortable, Victorian era bureau charming and appropriate, but other furniture worn and worn out - too much so to be charming. Had a separate sitting oom but no furniture in it hat was comfortable or inviting enough to want to sit on. breakfast had some tasty mini scones, coffee was good, but there was nothing else except oj (that is, literally, nothing else - no cereal, no yogurt, no toast, no fruit - i.e. nothing). Would not stay here again without improvements .

Original boutique, beautiful, pure rustic, simple and comfortable No 24hr staff, so at a certain time, you are on your own for any needs.

This hotel is really historical— it feels like sleeping in a museum. If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to stay in a Wild West hotel— here’s your chance! It’s rickety and charming. The shower is excellent— extremely powerful. The staff were very kind and warm. Be aware that this is not in any way a luxurious stay— it’s extremely simple, but clean. The breakfast is very basic- a Costco style croissant and some drip coffee. Highly recommend the barra barra restaurant nearby for lunch or dinner.

Cleanliness: the room and furniture were great. Everything was orderly and I had plenty of towels and shower supplies. But the shower itself had mold and blackened grouting along the entirety of the bottom. Was kinda gross. Overall: the place has charm and it’s cool to have period furniture and fixtures. It was nice and quiet at night and I slept great. The complementary breakfast was light and tasty. Coffee, scones, and croissants. Just wish there was sugar put out for the coffee.

I stayed during days the museum was closed, so it was quiet and peaceful. The staff was pleasant and easy to engage with. The location was great, allowing me to walk or take transit everywhere. I had a hard time sleeping but that has to do with me and not anything on the hotel’s end.
