Gorgeous setting and building. Rooms were very large and nicely appointed. Loved being able to wander the historic home. The hotel an event the first night we stayed. This impacted our experience negatively as there was no parking when we returned to the hotel, the event guests were blocking the entrance so it was hard to get into the hotel and the event cleanup went on until 2-3 am. We were kept up by the sound of carts rolling down the drive and other clean-up noise.

Location of breakfast was amazing. Location of hotel was incredible. We loved the hotel overall. Downstairs bar was great. Food drinks ambience and service in bar were all excellent. Not enough staff on reception. They were not welcoming and didn’t seem to care about the guests. Very poor reception experience for the level and cost of hotel. Breakfast was average for level of hotel and not enough staff to clear tables. Our room was not cleaned/ made up on the first full day of our stay even though we left tag on door to ask for room to be made up. When I went down to reception in evening to say this and ask for more towels the person on reception didn’t comment or apologise even though it was obvious I was making a complaint.

Shocking & Unaccountable Management: Nightmare in Room 235!!! We checked in late at 11:00 PM on June 5th. Right after taking a shower and getting ready to sleep, a loud mechanical banging noise started erupting every 3–5 minutes. It persisted all night, even after we turned off the AC and shut down the room's main power. Night staff inspected at 2:00 AM, acknowledging they could do nothing due to a full house. We were kept awake the entire night—zero sleep, total mental torture, and complete exhaustion. This experience utterly ruined our trip. Upon checkout, receptionist Alexa confirmed the incident was logged, but required managerial sign-off to process any compensation or discount. For two months, management has completely ghosted our emails. Booking.com support called them 7 times (July 21 to August 21), only to be repeatedly brushed off with "the manager is not available." Hiding behind an absent manager for 8 weeks is unacceptable for a historic hotel of this repute. Unprofessional, unaccountable, and extremely disappointing service. We have audio proof and official logs, and reserve rights to bring this to consumer protection as well as our credit card issuer for a chargeback dispute. Future guests, beware of Room 235 and their non-existent management accountability.

Beautiful surroundings, magnificent breakfast room, great that you can visit some rooms in de Schloss. Very good breakfast. On site e-car Charging point. Rooms on the first floor are a lot nicer then the ones on the second floor. Pity that there is no restaurant.

Beautiful surroundings, magnificent breakfast room, great that you can visit some rooms in de Schloss. Very good breakfast. On site e-var Charging point. The smaller rooms on the second floor are quite small, and less comfortable (bit overpriced). Pity that there is no restaurant on site.

The location and historic place The room we had was nothing like the rooms on ur site. I can send u images. It looked like a prison cell with no covers, no paintings, and tiny window so no daylight

The historical splendour, the beautiful gardens, the peaceful location. The bedside tables were too small.

The history and the schloss itself were wonderful. It was extremely uncomfortable due to the heat. The lack of reception in the schloss itself.
