Hotel Porta Pia

The location was convenient, but unfortunately this was the only positive aspect of our experience. The room we received was materially different from the clean, modern accommodation presented on Booking.com. There was a persistent unpleasant smell, stained bed linen, an insect inside the shower, a visibly dirty toilet and a heavily discoloured and apparently unclean basin drain. Because of the unacceptable hygiene and condition of the room, we left approximately 40 minutes after entering and had to book another hotel. We did not stay overnight.

I loved how quiet and clean it was. Located in a residential area but close to all visiting sights. The staff was wonderful. For me, it was our first night where someone was fighting at 3 in the morning. But thankfully it was a one off.

We absolutely loved our stay. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and very well maintained, and everything felt modern and thoughtfully arranged. The staff were always kind, welcoming and available whenever we needed help. The location was also perfect for us — close enough to the city centre to easily explore Rome, while still being in a quiet and peaceful area away from the crowds, noise and busy atmosphere of the very centre. Everything was even better than we expected, and we genuinely felt very comfortable throughout our stay. Honestly, there was nothing we disliked about the property. Everything met or even exceeded our expectations, and we were very happy with our stay.

Amazing hotel, very friendly staff, very clean, and the location is also good as there is comfortable public transport around it. Next time visiting Rome, it will be my 1st choice of booking.

Superb

We arrived early in the morning as we had a morning flight at 6a.m. I had texted the receptionist, Arianna about it who was really kind and helped us right away. After we arrived she had lots of helpful recommendations and was the best. We were able to take our rooms just before 10:30 even tho the check-in was at 2p.m. It was a great experience right at the start. The walls were a bit dirty and in the bathroom it was even coming off in a small area but that didn’t affect our stay at all. Overall the place was good. We only had to sleep there anyways:)

Everything is very good overall. Factors including hotel location, facilities, safety, being near easy public transport and attractions. It is inside a 19th century building block so that you may need to call the reception how to get access. Air Con sounds a little noisy.

Not expensive,easy to find. Quiet,clean. Only Italian tv channels, beds a bit too small. Very tiny fridge.

They gave us one of the renovated rooms, even tough we booked one of the more simple ones, which was a big surprise and an amazing bonus! Since our room was ready before the check in time they let us in earlier, which we appreciated so much since we just had an intensive travel morning. The room had everything we needed, was super clean, spacious and the cleaning service was daily! The staff were super nice, attentive and always ready to help :) Definitely staying again if going back to Rome! All was good!
