B&B A Casa Totti

The room itself was large and comfortable and the location was convenient for a short stay, right next to the train station but felt safe enough. Mrs Totti was very welcoming even though we needed quite a late check in and was flexible and responsive - the usual breakfast location happened to be closed that day but she kindly arranged breakfast for us at a different cafe nearby. Not sure if this type of accommodation is necessarily for everyone (with the owner living in the other room in the house and all the shared facilities being for private use as well), and we did find the language barrier a bit tricky, though we made it work.

We liked the location near Roma termini, the host was really kind and the breakfast was perfect. We did have a little difficulty with the lingering smell of cats in the accommodation. We understand that pets may be part of the home, but the smell was quite noticeable during our stay. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our time there and appreciated the hospitality of the host.

- located close to train station and nearby cafes/restaurants - room had a cool a/c - bed and pillows were comfortable - spacious bedrooms with space to sit and eat and hang clothes - strong smell of pet urine throughout the apartment - street it is located on had graffiti and human waste - windows in bedroom did not shut properly so lots of noise from the street throughout the day and night - not very clean (bathroom was moldy and bedroom floors dirty) - no facilities included at all: no shampoo/conditioner/body wash and no water or fridge provided

Aunty is very nice and soft. Very kind and friendly. Only toilet for all.

The room is spacious and very clean! The bed is large and very comfortable. The breakfast is really great and I suggest to take an option with it! The host (grandma) is a very cute person! You will get most for the price staying in a very convenient place in Rome. Nothing I can remember. Everything was great.

Casa Totti is about 5 minutes from the station which is great when traveling around to places in Rome. The room was a good size and the shower was lovely and hot. The host was very friendly and lovely. It is definitely value for money. So many places near by or easily accessible by metro, train or bus. It was quite noisy in the evening and early morning due to a place near by and general cleaning outside in the mornings.

Room was clean and Totti was very helpful. Very comfortable stay!

We had a great stay for one night. Near Termini Station. Everything is close. And room and bathroom was clean. We share bathroom with 1 room.

Great location. It’s good for the price and location. Please note that the owner speaks little English. Also verify where it is located if you use Google Maps, somehow that street shows in 2 different locations in Rome .

The location, bang opposite the main line station. Really dirty, the smell of urine, as my 9yo said smells the same as visiting Granny's care home. Someone wrote that Mrs .Totti is a hoarder, the dining table was piled high of rubbish..a kettle that didn't work properly. The bathroom was broken and filthy, The moment she hears a noise, she comes out and has a conversation, coming into the room as and when she pleases. The first night..I couldn't sleep..the shutters was not shut and I hadn't realized the window was open..so I was cold and the noise, Seagulls squawking for bar food..then the chatter from the bar..then the bottle recycling van.. I think from 2am to 6am, I may have dropped off.. I was frantically searching for another place to stay.. unfortunately..no one got back to me, so we bought ear plugs the second night...much needed. Despite the dirty dusty broken place, the bed sheets were clean. We literally only came back to sleep, I boiled the kettle to throw within the shower cubicle, before I had a shower. She gives out a voucher to have breakfast at a nearby cafe, that was nice. It was for me and my 9yo, maybe because I speak a bit of Italian, she was nice and friendly, informative. Allowing us to leave our bags on the last day. It really is in poor condition, but yet she is always booked. The photos do not give it the real feel of dirt. She wired the lights..in a strange way, didn't look safe..the wall plug sockets at thick dust on everything..the remote controls felt disgusting. The bathroom taps..sprayed water in a heavily lime scaled way.. the toilet seat was broken.. the clean towels were clean but sooo old. She reminds me of a nonna.. The that really hasn't got a clue at how bad her place is. Take your own wall charger, the place is full of old extension leads. Ear plugs. Tea coffee.. wash everything before use. She had these creepy father Christmas piccies dotted around.. my daughter ask me to remove it..I just kept the curtain closed.

Great location, very friendly host. Outdated and old room, had a terrible smell of stale cigarette smoke. Very noise, right on the street, noise all night.
