The location was relatively close to the CBD but neighbouring on the Queenstown Gardens which are a favourite place for us. To get to the CBD we had to walk down a steep path. OK going down but very difficult for elderly folk like us. The shower was OK but quite difficult to fill a bath . I would have enjoyed having a bath as a special treat but found the process too difficult. We would have liked some simple instructions on how to use the microwave and the TV.

Large bathroom and room. Great location being close to city. Friendly reception staff. Car parking was very tight and limited, but plenty of information about where to park if you missed out on a space.

THE BEST stay I had while in New Zealand! Amazing location (right by the gardens and <5 min walk to the city center), most comfortable bed, best bathroom and shower with products, Sky TV, just absolutely incredible! The only odd thing was that there was no one at the desk when I was checking out and I wasn’t sure if I needed to do anything other than leave the key. Other than that - incredible stay!

Location comfort and cleanliness No outlook from our room. We stayed 5 days and booked a long time ago. I am also genius 3 level..

The location of the property was excellent, 5 minutes to downtown, major sites, bus stations, restaurants, groceries, etc. Room was meticulously clean, spacious and the entire staff friendly and courteous. n/a

The Location, which is within walking distance to the town center and the garden. Breakfast available. Laundry available. Parking space are there under the hotel. The room are nice, and clean. The staffs were friendly and helpful. Office open 07:00-19:00, don’t be late.

Exceptionally clean and super location. Staff stored our bags for two nights while we hiked the Routeburn. Would choose again for our next stay.

This property is across from the botanical garden but on the outer edge of city center. On site parking was a big plus. The staff was wonderful and we enjoyed the convenience of the lovely breakfast. Can’t think of a thing.

The location is second to none - very close walk to town and easy to find. Right next to Queenstown Gardens which are fabulous to walk through. The staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing was a problem for them to do for us. Being on a corner and close to town, it is very noisy around 10-12 at night when everyone is walking home after dinner and being out. This is outside of the Lodge's control though. We were in a room without a balcony so very little space inside the room - it would have been nice to have a little outdoor space.

Just a short walk down a path to get to the city center. Ample parking & comfortable bed. Very friendly and accommodating staff. They had a great kitchen/eating area, but it closed up at 7pm. I understand, but I wish it would have been accessible a little later so that we could utilize the space in the evening.

The room was clean and bright, with both a/c and the option for lots of fresh air from 2 windows and a sliding door. The location is great - a very short walk into town and the waterfront. We didn’t buy the breakfast so I can’t comment on that. Nothing! Several reviewers mentioned the parking. I counted 7 spots, and we never had a problem getting one of them. There is on-street parking that would also work if you arrived after 4pm and left by 10am (I think).

Very central location as it is within walking distance to the gardens, beach, and city center. Plenty of parking on the property and free street parking Dryer out of service
