The bed was comfortable but I could see through the walls between the men and women's dorms. The staff smoked marijuana a lot in the dorm beside me and I would wake up to the smell at night and very early morning and would cover my face with a sheet.The vibe was a bit off for me as a solo traveler and not very inviting. The kitchen was small and awkward to be in with others. The beds had many cobwebs everywhere. The lady that cleaned seemed very unhappy. It was very close to the beach and the main strip in Rinconada as a plus. I definitely wouldn't stay again. I don't usually write reviews but this was a no for me.

Lovely hostel right by the beautiful Carizalillo Beach, the staff was really friendly and the other guests too. Our room was spacious. We had a good time here :) No warm water, but I guess that’s normal in places like this

This is my third stay at Mondala. I love the view to the beach, the hamacas, the fully stuffed kitchen, the big refrigerator and the bar. But the best are the good vides from the fellow visitors and the workers from Mondala.

The view and the position over the beach is just amazing. U can swim or go to a quiet stone beach. From the garden of the hostel u can see and hear the waves. They just put no effort in anything. In the kitchen there was a big mess and no space to cook, basically not usable. The room only had one plug for 6 people. It didn't have a bathroom like promised. When I mentioned that to the staff they didn't care at all. It was very dark. The mattress I had needs to be changed, I could feel every single piece of metal in it. The hammocks have big holes. There's no bottled water for the guests. I don't need much, but if you wanna stay here u have to give up basically everything. Oh and it's also not barrier-free, another false advertisement. So they actually lie about these points here.

The best location you can have at Carrizalillo, just a few meters of the beach. Cheap and comfy for those who are traveling on a budget. Maybe the kitchen area need more equipment.

The location. Right at carrizalillo beach and a short stroll to puerto angelito and Manzanillo. Location itself is very peaceful with beautiful view. This is what u pay for and I think it is worth the price. When I was there there was party every night with loud music until morning by staff and their guests. All dorm rooms are only separated by a reef wall which is not closing up to ceiling. In my case the guy next door decided to listen and prolly fall asleep to deep house all night - which had the volume of same room but was next room so no way to intervene without intruding or screaming. Cooking hardly possible as only 1 out of 4 fire places worked and u don't wanna occupy it for long. Showers and toilets very basic and not cleaned often enough.

It had a wonderful view of Playa Carrizalillos, just steps away from the beach. The cabin was spacious. Internet was quite good, I was able to do work online. The kitchen was so dirty I didn't want to prepare anything. The music was very loud throughout the day. You cannot pay by card. They don't give soap or towels, you have to buy this yourself.

Not close to the main beach of Puerto, but can't be closer to any beach, litterally the hostel is up the stairs !! And super nice people Very clean place

The most redeeming quality is the fact it’s situated on a cliff with an incredible view. Beyond this, it doesn’t provide much else. The walls are thin, to the point you can see your neighbours through them. If you’re looking for a quite place to rest, this isn’t for you. The main area is right in the centre, meaning you can hear EVERYTHING, music, conversations etc. They don’t have drinking water available, you either have to bring your own water or purchase from the bar. Showers are cold (not a major in the heat but still?)

The hostel is simple and connected with the surrounding nature. There is no artificial swimming pool, but your swimming pool will be Playa Carrizalillo, which is literally downstairs, in just 2 minutes you'll be in the water, you don't even need to put your clothes or flipflops on. Super recommend, on of the best spot in Puerto Escondido.

Pleasant

On the carizalillo beach, also near from carizalillo area, restaurant, cafe, minimarket. Staff are super friendly and helpful. If you don’t want to be annoyed by moschitos or geckos, better to pay more with another with air condition room, as it’s Bangalore.
