I chose Taurus Hotel as I have stayed there before, but this time I had to leave before breakfast was served to get to the airport. Previously when I stayed there the breakfast was amazing and on both of my visits my room clean with an extremely comfortable bed, and the bathroom was clean with HOT water. I have also sent several of my friends to the Hotel Taurus and they have also enjoyed it. I had to leave in the early morning before being able to enjoy your breakfast as I have in the past.

The location and breakfast were satisfactory, and the staff member working the night shift was very kind and helpful. Our experience was a complete disaster because of the extreme heat and incorrect bed setup in our rooms. I had booked two rooms with a double bed (king size); however, when we arrived, we saw that the setup in both rooms was twin beds (two separate beds with separate mattresses). When I confronted a person from reception about this situation, he claimed that what we saw was actually a king-size double bed, which sounded like a joke, and said there was no room in the hotel with a double mattress — even though the booking clearly showed a double bed, not twin beds. The receptionist told me it was not their issue and that Booking.com had made a mistake translating from Czech to English. According to him, it was what it was, and I should take the matter up with Booking.com. I reached out to Booking.com's customer service a couple of hours later. They replied that they could not find common ground with the hotel and instead offered me a voucher worth almost 10-12% of what I had paid — an amount that could not really compensate for what I had spent. Additionally, when I was checking in, I asked if the AC was working fine, and I was told there was no AC in the rooms I had booked. It turns out I should have specifically looked for the word "AC" in the room description, something I never thought to check, as I would never have imagined a hotel in one of the most touristic cities in the Czech Republic would be without any air conditioning when it's 37-38 degrees Celsius outside. The rooms were provided with fans, but for such extreme heat, it was not enough. All in all, I believe the room descriptions for this hotel should be changed from double beds to twin beds, and they should seriously consider investing in AC, as it can get very hot during the summer.

Good hotel. Not exactly 4 stars, but very close. :) The breakfast is nice, everything is clean, and the location is great – only 100 meters from Jiřího z Poděbrad Square and about a 12-minute walk to Wenceslas Square and the National Museum. The Metro station and the tram stations are also just a few steps away from the hotel. Just 50 meters from the hotel, up the street, there's a large and excellent supermarket, Albert. It's open from early morning until 9 p.m., so if breakfast isn't included, you can grab almost anything you need – fruits, vegetables, freshly baked goods, deli items, dairy products, and more. Overall, our corporate guest was happy with the stay, which means we were satisfied, too. Not very comfortable to walk extra two floors to the loft room which is located on the sixth "floor". With some big luggage this is a challenge. The elevator goes to the 4th floor only, and the loft room is on the 6th floor, not on the 5th as described (it says that you have to go up one floor, therefore the description is not very precise).

Everything Maybe a little bit more updated stuff.

Breakfast. Location was close to metro. We stayed on two different occasions. The first location was on the first floor and the street noise kept us awake as well as the Taurus sign outside our window. During our 2nd stay, we were on the 3rd floor which meant reduced noise, no light from the Taurus sign, and a better sleep.

Location, breakfast and value for money Slow or non existing internet at higher floors

Very clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed, very good breakfast, excellent staff. It was a nice stay, I really enjoyed it. The only thing I didn’t like was the very loud noise in the morning from the workers renovating two rooms right next to my room, but it’s understandable given the circumstances. Aside from that, I have nothing to complain about—everything was very good.

Excellent service from the staff. The room was small but absolutely delightful and I would love to stay there again.

Great breakfast. Alberta is a block across the street and close to metro station Jiriho z podebrad. Small elevator as I was on the 5th floor. Those with mobility issues will be have difficulty.

A little far from center, but close to a metro station.

Breakfast. Close to metro The bed wasn't bad but I wouldn't say it was the most comfortable either, but it's just a personal preference

Good location, walking distance to the city center. Great breakfast buffet. Nice stuff. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.

Great location, comfortable beds, big room, excellent heating, perfect breakfast, perfect value for money, near public transport... N/A

The bed was "divided" in two and uncomfortable, there were no elevators near the corridor so we need to walk 6 flights of stairs to get to the room every time. The nocturnal staff was quite odd in the conversation choice, I'd prefer if they kept less personal. But it might be just a cultural difference. Also no spare toothbrushes or toothpaste in the room, an awful view from the window (to the parking lot).
