Hotel Indigo Playa Del Carmen by IHG

It was awesome. Altho a bit small compared to other big chain hotels nearby. Cute little pool at the rooftop. The staff are super friendly and helpful. One guy staff downstairs tried to provide you everything as much as he can. This is totally valued and appreciated. It does give a bit of stinky smell from the sewage in the shower. It’s actually easy to improve. Don’t understand why they didn’t take measures while they saw complaints about it

It was clean and the staff was great and helpful. The breakfast was also delicious. The pool and rooftop view is also very nice! It is great if you are single, couple or on a business trip! The furniture and design is extremely nice but there are some things that were very disappointing. The crib had had just a wooden plank with a few towels to act as a mattress. We couldn't let our daughter sleep on that. The rugs on the floor are old and cheap and our daughter kept tripping on them. Also the room was extremely damp, the floors were slippery, not sure if this is due to the humidity. The bed, sheets, couch, everything was very very damp.

Close to beach and town

We arrived late after 2 other hotel reservations were incorrect and not available. She could not get any maids to come and clean so the manager cleaned two rooms for us so we could stay. She was exceptional. I will always remember her kindness. ? Can't think of a thing

The hotel was clean and beautiful. The location was also great! The pool service was lacking. We arrived early and had to wait for our room. We decided to enjoy the pool while we waited and had lunch. You had to call on a house phone for service every time you needed anything. Food, drinks or towels. There were multiple couples by the pool and the staff never came and checked on us. You had to go back to the one house phone and call to get the plates removed or for more drinks. And they were slow after the call. It took about 40min to receive some drinks after one call. Aside from this issue the food was fresh and tasty. The pool area was clean and comfortable. The rooms were beautifully decorated and good size. Overall price for value was really good. We would stay again and recommend to others.

Glass toilet door.

The beds were incredibly comfortable, and I was conveniently located near the beach (5 min walk). The ocean view was not particularly spectacular; it was quite underwhelming. The gym was under-equipped, lacking even basic equipment like dumbbells and a sprint bike. Pool water was too cold.

New building, clean. Very small room. Located across the street from loud music until 1 am. Some of the staff were not friendly, especially restaurant server. Service was very slow in restaurant. We opted for another restaurant for breakfast on second day even though we pre-paid for breakfast on the property. Roof top pool is small and overcrowded.

The shower door seems to have improper design. Water always came out after finish showering. Outside area near to door a fully wet.

? Just missing a bathroom door !
