The modern vibe. The fantastic bus ahuttle with the great driver. Golden sandy beaches. 3 pools and loungers always available. Large room (suite). Cleaned daily. Good continental breakfast. Bikes always available for free. Paestum old town 10 mins on bike - highly recommendec. Very quiet area. Only a couple of restaurants within walking distance. Only 1 restaurant in hotel with limited choice, especially for children- but lots of room to provide alternative menus. The hotel beach is via shuttle (not closest beach).

Nice pool area and good breakfast specially buffalo mozzarella. Many good local restaurants nearby. The room for 3 persons was a little bit small.

Stunning hotel with beautiful gardens and pool area. Dining area and bar also gorgeous. Access to the beach club was brilliant. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fabulous as was service at the bar. I think for the price and rating the rooms could have been modernised in keeping with the rest of the hotel. However, it was comfortable and exceptionally clean. Having to pay for pool towels is not in keeping with 5* and should be complimentary. A downstairs bar for the pool would be a welcome addition or QR codes so that you can order drinks/food.

breakfast is OK. Unfortunately, my recent stay at the Make Pentstrum Hotel was very disappointing and fell far below 5-star standards. First, the rooms are very outdated and in desperate need of refreshment. The worst part of the stay, however, was the pool—the water quality was extremely poor and visibly dirty, which is completely unacceptable for a luxury property. To make matters worse, they charge extra fees for pool towels. It's not about the cost itself, but rather the lack of basic 5-star service and hospitality. I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness and service. I would not recommend staying here until major improvements are made.

There is shuttle to the beach, very comfortable. Nice pool. Staff in not that friendly. Never know how they will respond to you, one moment normal, another rude. The shuttle driver and the guy who took out luggage were the best. Room definitely needs renovation, doesn’t look like 5 start hotel. Bath was leaking water even when it’s not used. Breakfast was not the best, for sure not what you expect from 5 star hotel.

The restaurant was excellent both in terms of food quality and service. The staff were exceptionally kind, attentive and accomodating. As my husband had not feeling well, they kindly prepared a simple off-menu meal for him, pasta in bianco and grilled branzino, which were both delicious and very much appreciated. The reception team also deserves special mention for being welcoming, professional and happy to help. We did not use the swimming pool but we spent time at the "Mare e Mirtilli" beach, which we really enjoyed both in terms of food and comfort. Rooms are simply decorated but bed and pillows were very comfortable, bathrooms should be renovated. As I said previously the beach was very lovely and easy to reach with the hotel shuttle service, however, the service provided by the beach attendant was a real disappointment. Even though the beach was almost empty, we asked if we could move to the sunbeds closer to the walkway, bar and restaurant, because my husband was unwell. Unfortunately, we were told this would only be possible by paying an additional fee. we found this rather disappointing, especially as hotel guests and considering how quite the beach was. A big drawback was the absence of a gym and a spa. These facilities nowadays are considered essentials especially for international travellers who value wellness and fitness as part of their stay. This makes the hotel more suitable to a local clientele than guests expecting a true 5 stars experience. Another issue concerns transportation. Paestum has a very limited taxi service, and for this reason the hotel should seriously considering to provide a dedicated chauffeur service. During our stay, my husband became seriously ill late on Friday night and needed urgent medical attention. As there were no taxis available, no cars available in the hotel and only one very kind man at reception, the only option was to call an ambulance which took him to an hospital 40 mins away (Roccadaspide). The first taxi available for me to go to bring him back to Paestum was the following morning, kindly arranged by the reception. While we are grateful for the support provided by the reception staff, we believe that the hotel positioning itself as a five stars property should have a reliable transportation, especially in an area were taxis are so difficult to obtain. In situations like mine it is an essential service.

We only stayed for one night and didn’t get to use all the facilities but it was lovely and we could have happily stayed longer. Great swimming pools and close to the beach! No negatives

Our room (Sea View Suite) was amazing, very spacious and comfortable. The view fom the room out across the bay was beautiful. The staff that were there were very helpful and friendly and seemed to genuinely want to do whatever they could to make our stay a pleasure. Breakfast was great. Lots of fresh baked goods and pastires, fresh fruit and a good selection of juices as well as great coffee. During the day the hotel is very quiet, whihc makes it perfect for queity relaxing by the pools. Location was good, less than a 5 minute walk to fantastic beach. Although it is public and not affiliated with the hotel, the beach bar at the end of the road is good, cheap drinks and fresh snacks made to order, but you will be paying for beds and an umbrella. The cost of two beds and an umbreall for a full day was around €40, which is reasonable as they are comfy and well maintained. There is a beach that is run by the hotel, but it is 1.5KM from the hotel and can only be accessed by the shuttle bus (a modern VW campervan which is quite cool!). This is not a hotel to stay in for a week+ to just sit by the pool and or beach. You absolutely could do that, but there are enough negative points to the overall resort that would mean it loses its shine very quickly. It needs some serious TLC to bring it up to the standard it could and should be. This hotel is totally set up as an "event venue". It hosts very large scale weddings, birthdays and other such celebrations regularly. We stayed in the hotel for 5 nights and there was a major party on three of the nights we were there. The main banqueting hall is on the ground floor of the hotel and it gets loud. Music goes off around midnight but wou can hear people partying well after that. That in itself is not a major deal because the rooms are well sound protected when all the winows are shut, but if you are staying on the first or second floors, it would become triesome very quickly. The main problem with the fact it is an event venue is that the hotels focus is almost solely on that fact. If you are a guest that is staying for a holiday, you seem to be an afterthought. The parts of the hotel where daytime residents go; the pool area, breakfast/dinner restaurant, bedrooms are all looking very tired. The umbrellas around the pool were damaged and in need of maintainence (all the large umbrellas and 4 out of 7 regualr ones). Some of the stone slabs around the pool were coming up and this mant that every now and then you'd catch a toe on them! The pool side shower was a dribble and was basically unusable and the mosaic floor tiles in the main Jacuzzi pool had been taken up to fit new plumbing points in three locations and then had neot been replaced, leaving patches in the floor. Staff were great, there just weren't enough of them during the daytime. Only on one day was there any pool drinks service. Get more staff and people will spend more money!

This hotel was a dream, the facilities of the hotel were 5 star and the aesthetics were stunning. Friendly, helpful staff, excellent breakfast provided within the cost. There is a shuttle to their private beach club with beds and umbrella at no extra cost. We had an amazing stay and are already planning another trip.
