The BIGGIES Inn

N/a First, the room was unclean, when we checked in there were eyelashes stuck to the bathroom mirror, with that we checked the rest of the room and majority of the area was covered in dust. Second, the aircon was very noisy and would suddenly switch between hot and cold. Third, when we slept in the beds, we woke up with bites of some sorts, presumed to be bed bugs. Fourth, they lack amenities such as clothing irons, we had to wait 40 minutes to use the hotels clothing iron because other hotel guests were using it. Fifth, the balcony was dirty and the view wasn’t worth the pay, as well as the toilet being rusty and dirty.

It was a hustle to get a decent blanket from the staff. First for 2 people they put just 1 blanket (. Then instead of a blanket they provided just a bed sheet. When I ask for the blanket they said they don't have it, just sheets and that philippine blankets are basically sheets... I asked at least to give me a second sheet and was told that I have to pay extra for this! Finally they got a second blanket and I returned their sheet not to pay any extra money and I had to explain myself. That was a bad experience that I didn't have to go through. Also room didn't have any basic utilities like a hook for the towel. But for one night stand it was somewhat acceptable. The staff seemed always unhappy to see us.

Larry the host could not have done more for us. He organised the tour to the whale sharks with us but also brought us down, waited with us and minded our things while we were in the water. He helped us onto the bus and gave us all the information we needed about getting from one place to another on the island. He also helped us organise a bike rental. We did not stay in the room we booked, we were moved to a better one! The rooms are clean and aircon works great. The shower provides hot water. Yeh terrace area outside is cute. There is nice views from the top floor and window. Spacious bathroom. Free parking for your bike. Close to a lovely bakery for breakfast and not far from a few good restaurants for dinner & lunch. The room is a bit small but we only stayed two nights so no problem really. The traffic from the road can really easily be heard at any time of the day. Large trucks go by in the middle of the night.

It was a very comfortable stay. Around 700m away from Whale Shark Watching site. We walked to get there. We like the room we stayed, it was good for the price we paid.

Was close to the Whale shark meeting point The room was nothing like the photos (maybe take ten years ago). The staff were incredibly unhelpful, laughing at a request to borrow a phone to call a booking company, and when it came to leave we asked if they were able to call a taxi or help get a taxi, they then got their friend over who was trying to charge us an extortionate amount for a 20 minute drive (more than the taxi from Moalbol which was a 3 hour drive) and when we asked for a reasonable price they then laughed and told us to walk.

Nothing The hotel didnt confirm our reservation as the facilities were fully booked. Poor communication between booking.com and the hotel.

Close to whaleshark diving. No good communication. No toiletseat, no window in the bathroom, noisy street in front of the room.

Well at first, I felt the lady was kind of stand offish, but later on she was better.

The property is very accessible, its along the national road. None that I can think of

I liked the room. Clean and organized. I suggest provide area where we can hang our wet clothes. Add hot/cold shower options.
