Great amenities, modern rooms, kind staff

The location was the highlight of our stay. It's convenient in every way. Cleanliness was lacking, specifically the bathroom inside the room. They need to put just a little more effort in the cleaning the entire bathroom including the shower doors and floors.

Rooms are super small

Location, friendly staff. Room was dirty upon arrival. I had to ask for it to be vacuumed. No where to put luggage, extremley tight room. Public spaces not as clean as I would have expected. Breakfast area is so dark, I could not read the free newspaper.

Coolest hotel I've ever stayed in, full stop. The staff were super attentive and friendly, the room was spotless. Amazing combination of antique hotel & French-inspired aesthetics. Felt very cozy and chic my entire stay.

The French restaurant downstairs was so divine I didn’t need to go out or find breakfast if I preferred low-key and simply wander in from the elevator to a cozy Lucious dining room with delicious dishes cooked to perfection. The coffee with breakfast was also deep and high quality and with a side order of real maple syrup made it even more perfect. Everything I needed and more….loved the location too easy to get to so many places

This was our first time at the Marlton. It is a great find and so close to my daughter at NYU. The ambiance is quaint and historic. The room was fresh and clean, although the typical small room you find in the city. The shower was very nice and the toiletries were high end. The staff was very helpful with our logistics throughout the stay. They helped us arrange bag storage and cars. The bar is beautiful and the cocktails were great! It is a perfect way to start off an evening and end the day. We did not dine at the restaurant, but it looks lovely. We will be back.

I have only stayed in New York City twice, both times now at the Marlton. I can't imagine a better location for a home base, and so charming! Staff is beyond helpful, and the close proximity to Washington Park to start or end your day is so wonderful.

That said, the location was fantastic and the staff was great. But I wouldn't stay here again due to the size and state of the room.

We've stayed at The Marlton several times over the years. We stay here mostly because there really isn't much else in this actual West Village area....here or The Walker or Washington Square. There is a nice vibe here, and nice decor....the rooms are some of the smallest, on par with 3-4 star Parisian hotels. The doorman and front desk were a little less than helpful this time around.....our recent stay at The Walker was more attentive and friendly.....albeit less posh and style.....although their piano is a nice touch.
