Tenuta Bussia - Wine Relais & Spa

The grace and charm of the hotel and spa far exceeded our expectations. The expansive views of the vineyards and the village of Barolo are magnificent. Eleanora and her staff were magnificent looking after our every need including booking some terrific dinner reservations.

My husband and I booked Tenuta Bussia for the early part of a birthday trip based on past reviews and we were absolutely thrilled! We were only there 2 nights and wish we could stay longer. We had the smallest room which was a bit tight but there are extremely thoughtful touches like a place to hang clothes, keep folded clothes and side tables on each side of the bed. We also enjoyed that the bathroom was totally American sized with an incredible rain head shower that had excellent water pressure/hot water. The property is stunning with views of vineyards and other small towns on all sides. The outdoor pool faces the back of the property and has an infinity effect. The indoor pool and spa area are really nice as well. We did not find either area too crowded unlike other reviewers even though the property was fully booked. We were able to comfortably enjoy the space each late afternoon. The breakfast was amazing and very filling including fresh juices, tons of pastries and cold cuts/cheese. Tamara and Elenora were excellent hosts. We got good dinner recommendations from Eleonora. Also regretting that we did not taste more wine here but we were out exploring and tasting at other properties a lot. The welcome drink was a rose that was delightful. The location was also great. You can walk to the town of Barolo in 30 minutes and La Morra, and Montforte are both easy drives. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in the Piedmont/barolo region. Honestly nothing. The room was a little tight but everything is arranged so thoughtfully that we were totally fine.

Everything is amazing, the family owned property exceeded my expectations and Eleonora is a great host who goes above and beyond to make the stay a pleasure. You must try the wine tasting on site, it is great. And ask for restaurant advice... you won't be disappointed The only little negative thing is that depending on the room you have, it may be a bit noisy when people arrive at night with their cars

From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and like nothing was too much trouble. Eleanora greeted us warmly and made us feel so at home. The hotel is set in a stunning location on top of a hill surrounded by vineyards. It is such a peaceful place. The rooms were impeccably decorated, bed so so comfortable and a shower to die for! The breakfast each morning was local food and plenty of it. Georgia takes care of everything with kindness and a smile. This Tenuta exceeded our expectations and we would have loved to stay longer. Can’t wait to return. Absolutely nothing

We had an amazing time here at the tenuta. The rooms and the building itself are beautiful and the landscape around it simply breathtaking. Eleonora is a very friendly and kind host (and so is her staff) and we always felt very welcome and basically „at home“. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and the wine tasting we did was top notch as well! The towns of Barolo and Castiglione Faletto are 30 minutes by foot which makes it a nice pre and after dinner walk through a nice scenery. All in all, an amazing experience for a long weekend. I can highly recommend this place and we‘ll be back for sure!

Incredibly peaceful and tranquil setting for a relaxing few days. Eleanora was incredibly helpful when booking local restaurants and offered guidance as to how to spend our time. Breakfast comprised an array of local produce - the perfect way to start each day!

Wonderful breakfast. I missed some kind of egg, afsked for it and got it imidiately? We missed a little refrigerator in the room. Some e-bikes at the place would be perfect.

My fiancé and I stayed at Tenuta Bussia for 4 nights and wish we could have stayed longer! The property is gorgeous with unbelievable views of the Barolo valley in every direction. The staff are friendly, attentive and thoughtful. Eleonora is an absolute joy! Our room was thoughtfully designed, the bed incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was gorgeous. We loved every minute of our stay and would love to visit again!

Eleonora made us feel at home right from the beginning! Very beautiful place and scenic surroundings. The spa was amazing, very relaxing and not many people. We enjoyed the wine tour and tasting.

Eleonora’s family has created a paradise in the middle of Barolo winery!! They renovated the Relais with taste and only quality material!! We had a great welcome and spent a lovely stay!!
