Great onsen Liked absolutely everything

There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like.

We loved all of it!

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Having a price onsen in our room was the best part. The property was great, if you didn’t book breakfast or dinner at the hotel, it is about an 8-10 minute walk to the nearest restaurant.

Clean, organized and full of useful amenities

The property is clean and the room is big I booked the one with private onsen. We ask the receptionist if we can used phone to call the previous hotel because i left my Ipad in the hotel and just wanted to have them ship if to the other hotel we are staying in yokohama. But the Lady we spoke said the phone is only for the hotel used. For the amount I paid a night which is around 77000 yen this is dissappointing. When we went to the hotel in kyoto they accomodate us and even help us to call the previous hotel.

Beautiful Hot Springs, very pleasant staff, and very beautiful facilities.

It was conveniently located an 8 minute walk from Amanohashidate station, even with luggage. Priced fairly for an Onsen hotel. Private bath is bookable at 4000 yen for a 50 minute slot. Staff are friendly with minimal English knowledge. Free lounge area with free coffee and use of a foosball table. Ordered the Kaiseiki dinner for 16500 yen, but it was quite disappointing. The ocean view was great but the sea snail was bitter/ hard, there was no tuna in the sashimi, you have to cook the beef yourself and mine had quite a lot of gristle in it. The abalone was messily chopped and flavour and finesse was lacking. Property shows age.

Good public onsen/rotenburo. Plenty of parking. Disappointing that rooms are not made up when staying more than 1 night. We paid Yen140,000 for room only for 2 nights...but rooms are not serviced? That's poor IMO. They do however, leave a bag of new towels outside the room so you can DIY!! Few staff speak much English, which is a surprise as the majority of guests were foreigners when we visited, however, they tried their best. Dinner and breakfast has to be booked 7 days in advance, so not convenient for late bookings. All rooms with private outside baths are on the first floor. Of these, 4 are recently refurbished in western style and appear very comfortable. The remainder are futons (that don't get made up...had to get that in again!). Ours was a little tired and some of the furniture was well past its best. The rooms face the sand bar at Amanohashidate. However, a road and railway track run right in front of the rooms. These are not busy, but tranquility is lost. Also, the view from the private bath area is spoiled by electrical lines and poles.

Amazing Japanese-style room with an open bath. The room was spacious, and everything needed was provided. The place itself has such a relaxing atmosphere, exactly what you need after big cities. -

We were placed In one of the two houses overlooking the bay rather than a room in the main hotel which he had booked. Beautifully designed with lovely view and pool on the balcony. Fully equipped with washing machine and kitchen, but very limited food in local shop for self catering. No instructions for equipment other than in Japanese. Lovely mineral spa both indoors and outdoors at main hotel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Or room had a sea view and a Japanese sitting area although we had Western Style beds. We used the private onsen which was lovely. Everything was very clean and nicely prepared. 10 minutes walk from Amanohashidate station.

The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Amanohashidate station and it’s mostly flat. The hotel itself is very well presented and is traditional meets modern. The room is amazing, we stayed in a Japanese style room, and the staff provided extra padding for the futons for us. The hot spring onsen is amazing, right outside the room, it’s beautifully hot and is such a nice treat after a travel day or day of exploring. The outside area with the onsen is completely private too. Overall we loved our stay, slightly more expensive however it was a treat and we are glad to have visited and stayed.

I didn't realize the upgraded booking would be in an ultramodern structure away from the main hotel. It was closer to the water, so the views were magnificent (except for the parking lot). The open air, private hot tub was over the top! It was a great way to begin the day! There were just two of us staying for a single night. The booking would have been a better fit for four, or for those who stay several nights or more as we had little use of a full kitchen. The second floor was spacious with huge windows to gaze at the outdoors while lounging on the sofa or beds. There were comfy robes and pajamas plus extra thick bath towels to use. The negative was a rather unnerving experience! After enjoying a shower under a fancy rain shower and a hand held one, none of the buttons and knobs worked to stop the flow of water. There was no phone in the place, so someone needed to go across the street, cross the railroad tracks, and run up a hill to get help when it was 50+ degrees. After a few tries and a phone call probably to someone from maintenence, the issue was resolved.
