Perfect ... with an unforgettable view ! too quiet :-)

Just in front of Amanohashidate Station.

Wonderful location in a unique small town. There's plenty to see and do in a low-key kind of way. The kaiseki meal in the hotel (reservations required) and onsen were both excellent. The rooms were very good, spacious, as pictured. The buffet breakfast was great. And the hotel has plenty of areas where you can relax and soak in views of the bay and mountains. Service was excellent and business-like - language was a bit of a barrier, but the staff were accommodating. Be aware that there are few options for dinner in Amanohashidate, and they tend to close early or need reservations. There's no nearby konbini either. (Not the hotel's fault - just something to be aware of.)

Breakfast was wonderful! The selection of food items was huge and everything was delicious! We liked that there weren't masses of diners in long lines to get food or cutting in line. Very enjoyable quiet time. The location of the hotel next to the train station, tourist information center and the bus stop was ideal. Walking to restaurants and to tourist sights were easy. The beds were low to the ground, which made for a difficult time getting up for my husband, who has back problems. He also thought that the bed was hard. I was fine with the bed.

    Amazing, good breakfast

Coming from Kyoto by bus or train, we love the proximity of this hotel to the station AND to the village! We can stroll across the water to the temple and onward to cafes, the ferry dock, and the beautiful land bridge. We have stayed in two other hotels in the area, however this is most convenient. Although bathroom facilities are rather cramped in the large rooms which have Western beds and futon, we found the "futon only" Japanese style rooms have nicer bathroom facilities so shall always request those.

I love the onsen! It also near the chair lift, the templen and the path to north and south side. All food places in the area closes early.

The onsen was excellent. And right on the coast. Beautiful vistas from our room. Our comfort was always attended to. The staff at mealtime was always helpful. There were so many courses to the dinner that it was dizzying. We were not adept in Japanese banquets so it was confusing how to eat each course and what to expect. It might have helped if you had given us an English translation of the menu.

The location was excellent! Nothing, everything was perfect.

Great location right on the water. Hotel was in good shape for its age, and the futons were very comfortable in the Japanese style room. The breakfast was great as well. The onsen was clean, beautiful, and well kept. Only thing I would ask is you clean the air conditioners better. The one in my room had quite a bit of mold in it.

Very well located, large room Bad smelling bathroom, fried food smell all over the place

So close to the station, very convenient. My room looked exactly like in the picture w/ a beautiful sea view of Amanohashidate & the bay. I stayed there in July, during summer, and the AC was super cold, which I really appreciated. In the bathroom they have make up cleanser, toner, lotion by Pola very convenient. They also provide some product for men, shaving cream, aftershave & lotion. I also enjoyed the foot onsen at the back of the hotel, really relaxing. The garden at the back also offers a gorgeous sea view, perfect for unwinding. There’s a nice restaurant just a one-minute walk away, located on the second floor above a shop that sells food, sweets & knickknacks. It’s also easy to access the temple, ferry tour station and some charming little shops nearby. Don’t forget to stop by a lovely cafe right by the water, it's overlooking the rotating red bridge, they serve lovely desserts.

I did not eat breakfast there. We rented bikes and rode across the National Park to the other side of the bay. You can rent a bike as early as 6 am, which is earlier than the 0930 am time that street vendors start renting bikes. Not sure. Overall a very positive experience. See details in my Google Maps review of this hotel

We like hotels near train station and this one is a few steps away. Great location for sightseeing in the area. It was under renovation.

  • Engine customer Jun 2025

Location. Right by train station and the park. Great walking. The nightly meal was good and recommended as there are very few places nearby to eat for dinner. Breakfast was bland. Not a lot of variety. More fruit would have been nicer. The steam room in the onsen was broke and onsen was not as nice as they show in the photos. Water temperature was only 39 degrees

I love this hotel! We stayed in a Japanese style room and it was amazing! My first time using the onsen and it was really good! The location is just across the amanohashidate station. One of the best hotel we have stayed in.

  • Engine customer May 2025

I loved this hotel! The breakfast was excellent, the location was convenient and beautiful, the onsen was wonderful, the room was comfortable—the bike rental was easy and convenient, and an excellent way to explore the area. I had a wonderful time. The mattress was an older spring style, but I still slept well.

Near train station, near bus stop to Ine, walkable to the viewing point, food was great (kitchen/dining staffs were so warm and friendly). Coldness and attitudes only from the fromt desk staffs, not much to do after 16.00 around this area, it can be quite dark around the hotel premises.

  • Engine customer Apr 2025

When we arrived we tried to book a meal but we were told that all the restaurants in the hotel were fully booked, the upside was that we found a great family run place close by which served great food much cheaper

Opposite train station and on the lake with a bus stop outside. Perfect.
