We had a good experience staying at Salgart. The outdoor heated swimming pool with its stunning mountain views made all the difference. The staff and Hillebrand family were very friendly, they even surprised me by placing a candle and a birthday card on our table, which made the occasion feel special. We also loved exploring the beautiful city of Merano using the bikes provided free of charge. Staying at Salgart for my birthday trip was truly an unforgettable gift.

Beautiful family run hotel in a tranquil neighbourhood of Merano. Cosy feeling with modern amenities. We visited at the end of October when the weather was still warm enough to take a dip in the pool which is heated in the winter months. Its definitely worth opting for the breakfast… food was excellent and the view of the sunrise on the mountains was a serene start to our day. Looking forward to our next visit - just hope this place remains a secret!

Lovely setting away from town centre, large comfortable room with balcony, excellent breakfast, efficient German organisation To eat dinner at Salgart, you needed to book before 10am which was out of the question because we were on the road. We were directed to a Pizza place that was a 10 minute walk. It was not really a restaurant and was doing a roaring trade in home deliveries, however the people were nice and the pizza was good. Points lost for the dinner situation

Beautiful rooms, big balcony, the breakfast view and the new pool of course. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, which made it even more enjoyable for us.

Amazingly friendly, thoughtful staff, especially with regards to my wife's gluten-free requirements - there were various alternatives for her on the breakfast table and she could choose how much or little she wanted to eat. Guest service at its finest! Spacious, modern rooms, clean, big bathroom, lovely balcony, very quiet location in a residential area, lovely outside pool area. These are minor issues: Sound isolation between the rooms was not great. The beds were subjectively quite hard. For a short stay the location is good (very quiet) but because it is a bit of a distance away from the center of town, it is quite a march to and from downtown Merano (20 minutes) if you want to see the sights or eat out once a day. Taking the car is not effortless due to the narrow roads and parking issues in town, so a bicycle is probably the best option if you plan on spending a week or more ...

This is a fabulous hotel! It's family owned & operated . The rooms are beautifully appointed with balconies, luxurious bathrooms, comfortable beds, & a really good breakfast. The heated pool was a plus with beautiful views of the countryside. A very attentive & accommodating staff. Our favorite hotel! We liked everything about this hotel!

We so enjoyed our stay! Everything was very modern and high spec. The swimming pool was warm and we used it every evening. The views from the balcony were incredible. Best of all were the evening meals, which were five courses of health tyrolean food with desert creations. We usually eat out at restaurants in town but Hotel Salgart were so much better. And the staff were wonderful!

Nice and clean room with a spacious balcony. Very friendly staff. The breakfast was amazing, so many things to choose from, fresh and delicious! Really enjoyed starting our day every morning with a swim in the pool with the scenic mountainous landscape around the hotel area being the cherry on top. Looking forward to another stay at Hotel Salgart soon! -
