For the price, the hotel is fine. No real creature comforts, but it is good enough for somewhere to sleep.

No negs, was happy with what I got at the price point.

Great location if you love Korean food and a reasonably quiet part of the city. Honestly, it's great value for money. Any complaints would be specious at that price point.

Great location. The downside is that the area can be quite noisy due to the busy roads and nearby restaurants. Additionally, the walls between rooms are very thin, and we were frequently disturbed by noise from neighbouring rooms, including alarm clocks and conversations. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The coffee machine in the room was not working, and when I attempted to use it, the coffee pod exploded. I reported the issue to reception, but the staff member was dismissive and simply told me to drink the instant coffee packets provided instead. When I asked whether the machine could be replaced or looked at, he said: NO. Heindicated he was too busy, all while continuing to eat his breakfast. The interaction came across as rude and unhelpful, with little interest in resolving the problem or assisting guests. Customer service was lacking, which left a poor impression. I suppose, in the end, you get what you pay for.

Loud but as expected really for its location.

I liked how the hotel was located at the city, many restaurants and shops were around with few minutes walk to the tram. Enjoyed talking to the owner's cheerful father. He helped out me to carry my huge luggageAlso I was able to sleep well on a king sized bed. The WIFI internet was broken for most of my stay. It stopped working fter less than a week I moved in, and didn't get fixed for the whole 2~3 weeks. Although I asked when it'll be fixed, they kept on lying and end up me leaving without the internet. Another thing was that I got charged more than I supposed to be, in the process of refund. Also, didn't expect that water would start dripping from the ceiling, although they fixed it and dealt well afterwards. Some other micro concerns such as floating bug inside breakfast orange juice, overhearing from rooms next door, and insufficient 'un'made up rooms, ultimately led me to this dissatisfied stay.

Comfortable bed and good location - room at back of hotel away from street noise Lighting very poor, couldn't read my map, Broken toilet push button, TV not working when I arrived. Young girl on reception kindly came to fix the dodgy connection from the ceiling, which had fallen out. Older man at reception not very friendly or helpful.

The room was basic although clean and comfortable. Good location. Close to the station, trams and walking distance to most things. It was also fairly quiet considering it was right in the city. The price was highly inflated due to it being Grand Prix weekend. The bed had a big lump in it on one side.

Location was great, room was pretty good for a budget price. Service was poor & staff (older gentleman) was rude and suspicious. We arrived at the arranged time but reception was vacant so we rang the bell. After 10 minutes we were ringing the bell continually but no one came. I called the phone number for another 10 minutes and listened to it ring on the other side of the desk but still no one came. The reception area was little more than a cubicle with nowhere to sit while waiting. Eventually, another guest came in with a key card and I had to ask them if they could send out a staff member. An older gentleman eventually came out, he didn't greet us or apologise for the wait, just mumbled that he needed to find his glasses and left again! He returned after a few minutes and began checking us in. He took photocopies of our drivers licences, which seemed odd, checking the names and photos as if suspicious of us. Then needed our Visa to pre-authorise a $150 bond. He wrote down the card number, expiry and CVV and repeatedly checked the digits. He went on and on about having to be careful and how bad the banks are. We had breakfast included in our package and I asked him about where it would be served, he responded that our room number would be checked in the morning to make sure it was included and if not we would have to pay. Finally we were allowed in. In the morning we came down for breakfast and I passed reception to enter the breakfast area. The same man at reception stopped my husband to check and recheck our room number. The breakfast was a bit sparse, but well cooked. Milk and juice were almost empty. The man from reception came into the room announcing to everyone that he was 'checking' us. I felt like I was in prison and he was the warden! He turned off the auto toaster even though a lady was standing right next to it waiting for her toast that was cooking inside! He came back right on the dot of 10am to tell everyone who was relaxing and chatting that they were closing and we had to leave.

The bed and room were comfortable and quiet. It was very disappointing to see the poor lady on the front counter trying to deal with an unhappy customer. The manager was not prepared to talk with the customer, and he was getting very angry. it was not till I told him" it was not her fault and he shouldn't take it out on her ", He then changed his attitude. I think the manager was a coward for leaving this lovely young lady to deal with him, It was clear that he was in the back room as well. I also want to know why the elevator has tarps on all the walls, there did not seem to be a purpose other than keeping the stainless steel new. It was not a brand new elevator either. Very weird. Breakfast was ordinary too.

    The breakfast was quite poor.

  • Engine customer Feb 2026

The bottles of body wash and shampoo in bathroom. Coffee bags tasted nice. The basic rooms. 3 blocks from Southern Cross. No reception for 5 minutes, receptionist didn't know how to check me in and had to ask. Cloth in lift. Coffee machine too small for any cups to fit,
