The hotel was beautiful and a very peaceful evironment. It is in a fantastic location within walking distance to lots of great restuarants and bars, and close to the Metro (it is very easy to get to Saint Charles) and about a 20-30 minute walk to the Old Port. The pool was a great way to cool down and the jacuzzi was lovely. The beds were comfy and the facilities were clean. The room was cool with the air con, and we appreciated the plug sockets by each bed. The room we stayed in was the Family Suite (Cabanon), which was very pretty, however, we felt the practicality of the room could have been better. For example, the room has the capacity to sleep nine people, but really is only big enough for about four people maximum to stay. There is no door to the second bedroom (we asked the hotel to hang a curtain which helped) and there is nowhere to put any of your belongings and only four chairs and three small stools for sitting (fine for us but perhaps a problem for bigger groups). There is no storage in the bathroom, or in any of the bedrooms. There is a cupboard space which amounts to enough space for one guest to put their belongings but nowhere to hang clothes. The lack of storage wasn't a huge problem for us as there were only three of us, but I would take it into consideration for bigger groups as you cannot stand upstairs in the bedrooms or keep your belongings up there. It was frustrating having nowhere to hang wet swimwear etc or to unpack our suitcases. The room also faces the street which can be noisy at times.

We loved the pool and the jacuzzi. We also loved the patio and character of the property. Also, Elena was very informative and welcoming. We did not like the stairs to the room but we understand the age of the building.

Pretty place with a lovely jacuzzi and pool in a courtyard. The place is old but clean and they are lovely people. A few rules about breakfast and the jacuzzi were a bit awkward to manage. Signing up is recommended before your stay.

The hot water ran out after one and a half showers in our room and they were not over long showers

This place is a hidden gem. Not anything like a usual hotel. This is a hidden oasis. Quaint, comfortable and a cool pool to help revive you after a day walking around Marseille in the heat. The bed was comfy as well! I appreciated the coffee machine and the tea bags in the breakfast area. Walking to the train station was easy.

The house is lovely, a converted old house done up with a good eye for colours and proportions - really well done. The rooms have a lot of character, and we were lucky to have a terrace to the street. Jacuzzi and pool are wonderful, even now in November it's still possible to swim after the hot tub, and although the facilities are generally basic, the atmosphere and the location make up for that. There are at least 3 very good restaurants just around the corner and the metro is 4 minutes walk away. A hot water kettle in the room would have been nice, and a serious disadvantage was that we had to carry our luggage down 3 steep stairs ourselves since nobody was there to help either on the night before or in the morning when we left. We never saw the owner/s, and communication with them was only via emails, which were usually not answered, or via phone. Generally, I wonder whether the staff are happy working there, but they were nice enough to us.

Wonderful hotel on the cusp of a vibrant area, tucked away but within close proximity of the tube, great restaurants and quirky shopping. Fantastic pool right next to the jacuzzi was the perfect tonic after a long days of sightseeing.

Wonderfully eccentric place, rather resembling a Riad in Marrakesh. friendly staff. Quite determined not to speak English, which is fine and fair. The place is like a warren, full of an eclectic array of rooms. The bed was a bit too soft and a mosquito bit the hell out of me all night. We were only there one night which wasn't enough to get into the swing of it. We didn't have a chance to make use of the tiny but, I imagine in the hot Summer months very useful little pool in the middle of the back yard or the very warm and inviting looking spacious Jacuzzi.

Lovely pool and jacuzzi. Quirky, traditional hotel. We had a suite which was fine, but for our preference did not like the mattresses as they were extremely soft and seemed to slope a bit in the middle. The sheets didnt stay on well. Other than that it was great. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby and close to the metro. The bed

Loved the unique atmosphere and you can tell that care has been put into every detail to fit the aesthetic The beds were quite squeaky and loud but not at all a deal breaker for the trip. We definitely enjoyed our stay.
