Breakfast was good. The main issue during our stay was the staff. Weeks before arrival, I asked about the availability of free parking and was told that the hotel would get back to me. I never received any follow‑up, and upon arrival we were informed that parking cost 20 EUR. Better and more timely communication would have been appreciated. Out of the 3 staff we interacted with, only the lady in the morning was nice to us. The other 2 were quite rude and not helping. For example the person in charge of the breakfast didn't even reply to our "Bonjour". The parking itself was also difficult to access and use. It relies on a lift system that takes cars down to level –5, operated with a remote control and a key. To exit, guests must pull a cord somewhere in the parking area to open one of the lift doors. Unfortunately, the door that opened for us led to a lift that was out of service (without any signs), and we ended up stuck inside for about ten minutes, a stressful situation, especially for anyone with claustrophobia. We eventually managed to get out and use another functioning lift. The room was generally fine, but the bathroom had a few issues. The toilet lid wouldn’t stay up because it had been assembled incorrectly, and the bathroom door handle was loose, which made us worry about getting stuck inside. Also we were given only 1 towel each, when the standard in any hotel or B&B in the world is at least 2 or 3 each (of different size). We asked for extra eventually, and luckily they just had 3 small ones left.

The person checking us in, offered us a bottle of water. We arrive at 11 pm, tried to checkin, and that already took a while. Then we finally get the room key and go to the room. Someone was already in our room. We go back down to the reception to get it checked and get another room, though they had no room leftover with Air Conditioning (at 35°C) It's already 12:30 am and he doesn't have a room for us. Then we have to start negotiating that we want a different hotel room. He only wanted to give us a 15% discount for choosing a room without aircon. It's 1 am and he's called the other Ibis hotels in the area and we found a room. Again we have to negotiate that they organize a taxi for us. We get to the other Ibis (Ibis Garre St Charles) and it takes another 1,5 hours for the first hotel to send the details to the second hotel, so we can finally get into any room. Do not book this hotel. It is very dirty inside. The corridors look like they've never been vaccumed. The ventilation screens are covered in dust. It smells The location is not as close to the center as you would hope.
