We walked to Prada and the train station to get to Seville very easily. Very convenient and safe and residential, nice playground a few blocks down full of kids in the evenings. Solid mid tier rooms and ac and plenty around for pastries or to hit a chocolaterria for breakfast. You have to turn the key in when you leave. Elevator is smaller and slower but just fine.

The room is not large but very comfortable and extremely clean. The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a wonderful accommodation experience. Non

The staff is incredibly kind. Very clean rooms and comfy beds. The location is just a few steps away from the metro and a short walk from Retiro. Good WiFi and a nice bar downstairs. I loved everything about my stay here. Everything was great.

Everything is perfect!!!

The hotel is very quiet and at no time there was annoying internal or external noise. It is also very clean and the stuff is friendly. The bed is comfortable, the room is big enough and it has all the facilities that you might need. It is located south from the very centre of Madrid which you can reach also by walking for less than 30 minutes. There is a metro station just in front of the hotel. The buffet breakfast had, among other things, fresh fruit, fresh juice, fresh bread and fresh coffee. However, it could have had more fresh pastries and less sweets in plastic packaging. The same applies to jam. Also, a cappuccino option would have been nice.

I decided to stay at the Hotel Sancho based on the star rating and really based on the ratings of others. I have never been to Madrid and really wanted to not spend too much on a hotel but not overspend. Not only did the Hotel Sancho exceed my expectations, but they really were hospitable and the rooms were clean and nice and just overall worth of their star rating. I would absolutely stay again and recommend the place to others. If I had to fault anything, it's the location, but the hotel is near the Metro and if I knew how to use the Metro more efficiently, then this is a perfect location.

The bathroom as large and very nice The room was quite small

Close to Madrid Metro and friendly, helpful staff. No coffee making facilities in room.

Aesthetics were impressive. Very comfortable. We stayed one night, so we did not get to enjoy all amenities. Flat pillows, therefore a little less comfortable than what we are accustomed to.
-
Great location near the Atocha station and the main art museums, helpful service, and comfortable bed. Room was a little small, temperature of room at night was chilly

The hotel was so charming! It had a lot of character that made it really fun to stay there for several nights. The staff were also excellent and very friendly. I don’t speak much Spanish but found it easy enough to manage the bit of communication needed, and they handled all of it with smiles and kindness. The location is also really nice, as it’s easy to walk to multiple notable locations and museums nearby, but it wasn’t as crazy crowded as the Centro neighborhood I stayed in later in my trip. The neighborhood that it’s in (Atocha) also felt like a safe place to be - I walked home alone past 10pm multiple nights and felt perfectly safe, which, as a woman, was very nice to see. I had breakfast as the attached restaurant one morning and the service was a tad slow. There was one man working and he did a good job, there were just more people coming in than was handled super easy with one employee. I also kept in mind that the pace of life is slower in Spain than in my home, which is part of why the service was a little slower. Overall it was ok, I was just in a bit of a rush in the morning, so it may not be the best choice for breakfast if you’re in a hurry. The hotel itself though was a delight and I don’t have anything negative to say about it!

The rooms were very clean and of normal size but the bathroom was quite spacious. The bed was comfortable and the facilities were nice. The staff were helpful, they were able to store our luggage and communicate well if you have questions or issues after your stay. Location was a bit out of the way but it was near public transit and taxis were inexpensive. There was some construction on the street during our stay so it was a bit loud.

This was my 2nd trip to Madrid. I selected Hotel Sancho originally for the location. I returned because I enjoyed my stay there. Excellent room, great bed, delightful decor, great adjoining cafe (the Don Quixote) and the Metro (Delicias) across the street gave simple access to all of Madrid. However it was the staff (both trips) who exceeded all my expectations. They were all welcoming and warmly helpful, especially the front desk people. Thank you, Monica. Yes, I will return. Yes, I recommend Hotel Sancho to anyone spending time in Madrid. It is a uniquely wonderful place to stay. A+++
