The greatest strength of the hotel is its staff. They are all incredibly friendly, kind, welcoming, and always attentive to every detail. They truly go above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable and well looked after. What I didn’t like was the noise. The soundproofing could definitely be improved, as we could clearly hear people walking in the room above us. We could also hear a lot of noise from the surrounding rooms and the corridor. At times, it honestly felt like being in a horror movie! Unfortunately, it made it difficult to relax and enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep.

Location is excellent, so nearby shops and some good neighbourhood restaurants. Room was comfortable. A little noise, I am not sure if from surrounding rooms, also some unexpected rumblings from the tube below, but all in all a comfortable stay with a lovely boutique feel. Many attractions walkable. Staff were very polite and helpful, although a little slow to help with bags up to the finsal floor which doesn't have lift access.

Friendly and hard-working but inexperienced staff made problem solving more difficult than it should have been. Plus items any visitor would expect (such as sufficient tea and a TV remote control) were too often missing. Also, the hotel is still working out some basic items (such as preparing the staircase for regular use and the in-room phone system) that should have been completed before it was reopened to the public. I do expect - given the commitment of the staff - that this hotel will have all this corrected in a month or so. I do think the staff needs more training on problem-solving.
